Hello ducky!

Sunday sewing had it's ups and downs (well downs then ups), but all good now; however under Bee confidentiality rules, (yep, it's a strict one), I can't show you the fruits of my labour yet, but getting the two blocks finished will have taken longer than actually giving birth to the twins!

So just a glimpse of the HST fun that is 'trimming'!

I ache all over from that!  But I must admit that following instructions fully, trimming accurately and actually ensuring you have 1/4" seams does pay off!  Who would have thought it; it really has taken a long time for these things to sink in with me!

Between sessions at the sewing machine, dear son and I went to the school and village duck race!

Our sponsored plastic friends did not win, but there was some consolation dressing up with the firemen!

Now a 5 day working week to endure, I haven't done one of those for a lovely long time!  How long is it until half term?

  4. You'll hate me saying this, but schools over here (N.I) finish for the summer on 30th June - 9 weeks of summer hols! Depending on what way you look at it, it's either sheer bliss or sheer torture!! Jxo

  5. Trimming a blog will make ALL of the difference when finishing off your quilt top. It took me 4 quilts to figure this out, but better late than never. Right?

  6. Hum, I was in labour 18 hours, then 11 hours, hope the trimming was less that that!

We've been to the great British duck race at Hampton Court for the last few years, 250000 ducks floating down the Thames, yours looked great fun
