So I made a low-key present.
I had come across a small sample pack of Modern Folkloric from my FQR2014 goodie bag whilst tidying over Christmas, so supplemented with a few more co-ordinating prints, I was sorted…
I fused the top to Vilene H640 and quilted with Aurifil 50wt 2021; simple but effective.
It is not my usual colour scheme, but I like it. The whole cushion came from stash, which makes me like it even more!
Yellow and grey are one of my favourite combos! Great pressie! Jxo

ReplyDeleteI like stash-bustin' gifts.
It is the thought that counts,
It is lovely I am sure that it will be much appreciated and admired.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely colleague you are - sure to be loved whichever room it resides in!
ReplyDeleteAh and there it is - Modern Folkloric, I like it. But I'd probably also have the thoughts too about her taste and interior decor which is why I sometimes don't bother!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI really like this, simple but stylish. Most people are just thrilled with a hand made gift anyway. I have a January birthday too and the last thing you want just after Christmas is another box of chocolates or toiletry set. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely gift…..what a lucky friend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours and thoughtful gift. Hard to be sure sometimes though, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI can't see this not fitting in anywhere. It is lovely, and low key so adaptable to any decor.
ReplyDeleteFab colour combo, I'm sure it'll be at home anywhere!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! Hadley it will be a hit!
ReplyDeleteIf it doesn't fit your friends colour scheme then I'll 'ave it because it fits PERFECTLY with mine! Just saying 😊 most gorgeous, Hadley 👏👏👏
ReplyDeleteQuick and lovely.
ReplyDeleteSimple stash-busting is always a bonus!
