Happy Birthday dear son...
So proud of your reaction; when, after looking forward to it for weeks, and for what felt like many hours in the Lego Shop, you finally decided how you wanted to spend your birthday gift certificates, only to be told by the shop-boy at the till that their machines could not accept gift cards today.
Mummy, I can assure you, was not so polite.
PS. Craft It Forward opportunity update:

Happy Birthday! I see lots of things someone would love to get in my house.
ReplyDeleteOh I am sure Mom was not that polite
Oh that stinks. Hope he is able to spend them soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a rotten policy, well done wee man. Big birthday hug! x
ReplyDeleteHow rubbish of the Lego shop. Hope he gets his choice of gift v soon x
ReplyDeleteBad Lego shop :( Looks like he got a lot of fun stuff though! Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteRidiculous! Glad he still managed lots of birthday fun...Frankie & Benny's is great!
ReplyDeleteDid he get the goods...Did the air go blue ...what happened next Hadley?
ReplyDeleteHilarious!!! What a handsome boy ~ and sometimes you just have to show your kid that mommy will go buck-wild on someone on their behalf. True love
ReplyDeleteOh boo, what a dissapointment for him :-(
ReplyDeleteHe sounds like a great kid, and the shop is very weird.
ReplyDeleteThat's cr@p customer service! (thanks for the shout!xxx)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! It's good to have a feisty Mum :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! How mature of him, and I do hope he got the goods in the end.
ReplyDeleteYou made good kids.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer - looks like a good haul though and something more to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteROFL, I would have loved to see mummy in action!
ReplyDeleteGood job Mummy and Happy Belated Birthday to dear son
ReplyDeleteBad Lego shop! I'm just glad it was your sensible grown up 9 yr old rather than my whiney 7yr old, my mummy reaction would've been the same as your thought ;-|
ReplyDeleteOur sons share a birthday! And a taste for Lego it seems... Sorry to hear about the shop disaster, I cannot imagine the horror it would cause here...
