It was a wet one, it was a miserable one, I wore my winter coat, but I've got that
first day back at work under my belt, taken the kids to the dentist and have tea in the oven. England are
ahead drawing 1-all in the football, and hopefully I will be able to get
Annabella's Stitch Tease block finished this evening.
Sneaky peek anyone?
I've also got a couple of little embroideries to show for an evening in front of the TV, but I have forgotten to wash off the fabric marker, so will only show you one for now...

"hello?" |
Hope you haven't been washed away, blown away or otherwise affected by the elements today; who'd of thought it was summer! Can't stop, I can smell sausages xxx
Love those sneaky peeks misses!
ReplyDeleteI've got my first day back behind me now too. Just another 7 weeks to go and I have most of August off!! Love your little telephone embroidery
ReplyDeleteA telephone :) That makes me smile! this looks so great :)
ReplyDeleteLove the telephone...hello, hello! Rain here in St Louis is wonderful and welcome as we are in almost drought conditions. Best part of a rainy day is staying close to home and cranking up the sewing machine (the glories of being a teacher on summer break).
ReplyDeleteLove the sneaky peek! Arsing weather - I am used to sun, swimming and wine!
ReplyDeleteLove that tiny telephone - and I'll wait for the full on peak of Annabella's block. One of my few privileges in life!
ReplyDeleteCute embroidery!! Love it! I want a sausage!
ReplyDeleteIst day back and dentist! Boy you know how to live dangerously! :) Love the telephone, so cute! Not a drop fell here today, but cold!
ReplyDeleteWe had what you've today yesterday which means you'll get tomorrow what we've had today which was SUN.
ReplyDeleteThe telephone is great, do the children have a clue what it is? It has rained here today but I still got 2 loads of washing dry outside!
ReplyDeleteGive us a sausage Hads!
ReplyDeleteAh, Ireland lost. Sad evening. We went to the movies. Show us more, please. I can't wit to see the great unveiling from all of you ladies :)
ReplyDeleteOh that telephone is so cute! No rain here in NJ, but it is supposed to be a rainy week for us as it goes on.
ReplyDeleteI love the sneak peek but I'm not sure it's enough to sustain me for a whole year! Lovely embroidery, are you turning it into 'something' or hanging it in a hoop for all to see?
ReplyDeleteI'll swap the sun we have for your rain if you want, the kids have scarlet fever (and there I was thinking that it only exists in old books!) so no use for all this heat here...
ReplyDeleteI love that little telephone!
Hee hee, love the wee phone! It was definitely damp here this weekend - yesterday I was in a large tin warehouse for several hours, and it sounded like the roof was going to come in at one point!
ReplyDeleteOoo yum sausages! I had a very long a tiring day at work today, can't complain as I only work ad-hoc and it has helped refill the pot I emptied for London! Hoping to sew tomorrow :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the phone! Not too much rain here but bloody cold tho...
ReplyDeleteGreat sneak peak, love the little telephone. Save me one of those sausages =D
ReplyDeleteDurr.. Another evening lost to reading great blog posts... Must think of it as research only and stop myself signing up for too many swaps/QAL's .. :-)
ReplyDeleteFor once I have a nice day. Love the embroidery.
ReplyDeleteIt's about 12 degrees, storming and blowing a gale, and 16000 homes have lost power here. So just like an English Summer's day.... And you are MEAN mentioning sausages! Its what I miss most about England!
ReplyDeleteI never realized England had such horrible weather...is it ever nice?
ReplyDeleteI like rainy days to stay home and sew, but when you have to go out in it, YUCK. I like your little embroidery
First day back is always the worst isn't it! Good to have it over with :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the sneaky peeky birds and pretty embroidery too.
Ooooh, is it a NY Beauty by any chance? Love those spiky points!
ReplyDeleteSneaky peek looks intriguing! And fiddly! Can't wait to see what it is. And love love love the phone - haven't picked up any embroidery since doing Aneela's class at retreat, but I'm really looking forward to finding the time for some.
ReplyDeleteI remember using a telephone just like that one! So cute! Who stole our summer anyway? Jxo
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable! Whats the name of that fabric with the birds? they look like herons! so cute! we used to have a phone like that, I don't think they even work anymore because of the wind dial!
ReplyDeletelooking great! Yup pretty wet weather again :(
ReplyDeleteooh, can't wait to see what the sneak peek is! And I love the old phone. I miss those, they were so much more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure it is summer?
ReplyDeleteLuckily I have lots of lovely blogs to keep me from going out in wellies!
That phone is the cutest little piece of embroidery? Did you have a pattern? I have a phone like this still standing around. It reminds me of my grandma and I love that dailing sound!
ReplyDeleteAwwww that's a cute little embroidery, I can't wait to see the rest of it!
ReplyDeletelove the sneak peak! it is so fun seeing these from all of you! xo
