Not only have I been passing time with embroidery since Retreat...
OK, it might have a puncture! |
Using two charm packs of Domestic Bliss, and a FQ of Kaffe Fassett shot cotton, (yes Emily, that one!), I am still at the basting stage, but already loving it. I know I could have Pritt-sticked them, but I like this bit too...
This should keep me out of trouble for a while; I was kind of hoping these would be my summer garden sewing projects, but they seem to work very nicely as sat on the sofa under a quilt projects too, which is lucky x
Oh I love love love domestic bliss. I need some in my life! Cute bus too!
ReplyDeleteSpring Carnival + Domestic Bliss = wonderful! That is going to look so lovely Hadley!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute wee bus too :-)
Cute bus and your cushion is going to be gorgeous!! Love Domestic Bliss. Happy hand sewing :)

ReplyDeleteLOL!! Am doing one too... Love love love what you've picked for yours tho...
ReplyDeleteHappy hand sewing. It is an all new you!
ReplyDeletereally pretty, Hadley. If I could stand the thought of EPP I would have a go too, but a hexagon cushion cover put paid to that at age 15 - it was a very traumatic experience...!! Love the embroidery though, and def want to try more of that. Time to invest in some patterns.
ReplyDeleteThe cushion is going to be lovely. Great fabrics, almost wintery!! ;-))
ReplyDeleteI love the bus! So cool. And a great choice of fabrics for the carnival. I wasn't sure about it at first, but seeing it everywhere has made me NEED a spring carnival project.
ReplyDeleteThe bus is cute! I also love the colors of the fabric you've chosen for your project.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty clever embroidery. looking forward to the hexies!
ReplyDeletelove the fabrics! Bloody weather - it's really getting on my nerves now :-/

ReplyDeleteI KNEW that fq was a winner and would be perfect for something, just couldn't figure out what!
ReplyDeleteFab summer 'wherever you happen to be perched' projects
ReplyDeleteI hope the sun comes out soon for you. Those are lovely projects.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see that cushion cover! It's going to be gorgeous. And cute bus! Strangely enough, my father received a stress-reliever squeezie double-decker bus in the mail yesterday... (Don't ask.)
ReplyDeleteLove your bus! I have a charm pack of that fabric.....oh what to make....seeing your pretty design makes me want to get it out and make something!
ReplyDeleteThis looks good. I am starting her Hexy MF to have on vacation in case I get bored on the trains.
ReplyDeleteSome crafters are good at sewing, some at quilting, some at embroidery, some at knitting, some at crochet, some at painting - and then there is Hadley! Master of all crafts and gradually taking over the crafting world! (I hope that you are a rotten cook - just to let me know that you are really human after all).
ReplyDeleteThe Spring Carnival cushion will look great in those fabrics.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that's going to look great! (don't let on that you've seen it, as we might frighten it away, but there us a big yellow thing in the sky!)
ReplyDeleteA couple of nights ago I spent the evening cutting out my epp papers for Spring Carnival!! Yours is going to be beeeeyootiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the bus :)
I'm doing a spring carnival too in Amy Butler Love with Kaufman solids. Slow going but very pretty even if I do say so :-) Yours looks fabulous already!
ReplyDeleteI'm pulling fabrics for my Spring Carnival at the moment but have to finish some hexies before I'm allowed to start on it. Can't wait. Love your fabric choice.
ReplyDeleteYou should join the ferris wheel along. I love this pattern. I need to get back to it so I get my cushion finished!
ReplyDeleteGet you going all handstitchery!
ReplyDeleteAre you the cutest girl ever? Look at your little bus! Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYour hand piecing is just delicious. Beautiful fabric combo, Hadley!
I love the start of your cushion, it's going to be amazing! Your embroidery is really cute - it's not a puncture, just a heavy load at one end ;o)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I want to learn how to do EPP!
ReplyDeleteHadley let's all get on the bus ( reason for flat tyre no doubt) and go south to visit Annabella for some sunshine and stitching!
