For the boy...

I've started the holidays by cracking on with the Creeper quilty-blanket thing.  I got the top all sewn up today, and hopefully, by this time tomorrow I will be enjoying a lovely binding session…

I am determined to get this one ticked off as quick as possible so that I can do some serious damage to the Amité parcels that are stacking up.  I feel a mega-cutting session brewing in order to be able to hand-stitch to my heart's content for the foreseeable.

I live in hope xxx

Simultaneously...

Yep, I am getting the binding on the girls' Amsterdam Quilts.  Easy and pleasurable enough, the only thing I am having to do is make sure that they are finished together!

So it is one side of one, then one side of the other.

I will be at home all day tomorrow awaiting central heating chaps and a BT engineer, so I am hoping to get a lot more stitching done.  I have a lengthening To Do list, but these are my top priority right now, and hopefully a good distraction from the trials of modern life.

One step forward...

.. and I am not even going to bother counting how many steps back.

The only successful sewing I have achieved this week has been 3 lanyards for the kiddos.  I have also managed some unsuccessful sewing, but we'll skip over that!

I made these first thing yesterday, before things went swiftly downhill, and then over a cliff.

At least we don't have snow; I am trying to convince myself that is a good thing, although the kids definitely disagree.

Seemed like a good idea at the time...

Dear son is away for the night, so the girls have their best friend round for a sleepover.

'Sleep'over?  Pah!  So far there has only been screaming and jumping about!

These are the goodie-purses I have made them for the morning…

Suitably filled with chocolate, chapsticks and loom bands!

Hoping they will gain me adequate mummy-points for an early night tomorrow xxx

Brownie points!

I am my own worst enemy - I volunteered, there was no crossing my palm with silver, nobody made me, but I spent this evening accompanying the Brownie pack on a trail (trial!) round the village, via the churchyard, Indian restaurant (free chocolates), duck pond and chip shop!

I stood, in the freezing cold and watched 30 girls and a number of adults munching on chips, which are top of my 'to avoid' list - gah!

So now I am tucked up under the Christmas quilt and watching Sport Relief with a cup of de-caff; the kiddos all ran a mile at school today, so I am triple exhausted on their behalf!

Photos of the fabric variety tomorrow, I promise xxx
