Bee Bop, Ya Don't Stop...

Another month has rolled around and August is Sarah, Narcoleptic In A Cupboard's turn to be Brit Queen Bee.

I am trying to cram about 4 weeks worth of sewing into 2 weeks during August, so there's no time to hang about...

Last night, having an enormous selection of fabric and total free-reign on the blocks to make, I made block numero uno...

OK I messed up on my seam allowances or something, and my 12.5" square is actually 12.5" x 12", but thankfully Sarah is going to sash all the blocks and didn't make me do it again, I did offer!

It's based loosely on some of the blocks in the Inspiration mosaic, the second, this morning, is based on a beautiful block made by Kerry (VeryKerryBerry), but I have a loooooooooooooooooong way to go to be able to do anything as perfect.

My theory was that with black sashing the block would disappear into the background, leaving only the 'circle'.

Apologies, I just spotted my foot under the bench!
Judith has already posted about her blocks, and I am certain this is going to be another amazing Brit Bee quilt.  Sorry ladies, but I am having second thoughts about my easy blocks for November, I think I am going to use the talent on offer, to the full!
