I can see my house from here!
Last night I built a house for the Bee Blessed ladies...
It's a lovely Spring-like scene that many in the UK would love to see right now, but with snow or a hosepipe-ban not much chance of the lawns being this beautiful any time soon!
And that's not my only house, ooh get me!
Today the lovely postlady handed me my Summersville winnings!
Lucie has challenged me to make something, (that ideally won't make her sob into her hands - my words, not hers!) in time for FQ Retreat... I'll try my best, I have an idea or two.
I had already pre-ordered a couple of charm packs, and I am fearing those will definitely not be enough; the prints, Lu's first for Moda are beautiful and fun, and I can't quite bring myself to ruin their perfect stackiness just yet!

Gotta love a Giveaway or 2!!
Lily's Quilts QAL and Flickr group are getting more fascinating by the day, and dipping in and out of lots of the other participant's blogs is getting a bit addictive!
One superb fabric selection on Flickr caught my eye and it linked back to from the blue chair, not only is the said blue chair upholstered in one of my favourite fabrics, Laurie Wisbrun's Chairs (currently in my cushion cover 'to do' pile), and matched with the best blue ever, but Kati is also a mum of twins, we have the same current favourite colour scheme and she's having a giveaway of the fabrics that I swooned over in the first place! So with many coincidences, I am bound to be the winner, but you could have a go too!
Lynne has also alerted us to an April 1st Blogaversary giveaway; so I'm keepin' 'em peeled for that for sure.
Not much else to report this evening - I spent the whole afternoon making cakes and biscuits with the kids, so now I am going to grab the HUG, watch Comic Relief and relax, oh and eat cakes and biscuits!

First Love...
A little diversion this evening as this man has a lot to answer for at the moment!
One of the twins is besotted with the 'lovely, fablious Jamie-30-minute-meals', for that is actually his real name!
From the moment she wakes, until she kisses his picture at bedtime with a 'Good Night, I love you', I am asked where he lives, can we go there, can she take her own cutlery round to his for tea, and can she borrow my 'marriage dress and clip-clop shoes' to marry him in? It is incessant!
This has been going on for days, all down to the Comic Relief cookbook.
We are trying to decide what to make on Friday, purely for our own consumption. I wouldn't inflict anything we will produce on anyone who isn't 'family'! I'm quite happy to make and eat the lot.
Are you doing anything 'funny for money' this week?
Watch out Joolz, there's a determined young lady with eyes on your man!

Ice to see you ...
This morning dear son and I went ice skating - the real cold stuff, at the temporary outdoor rink in Worthing.
It was a little murky and rainy down by the seaside, but we had fun, no slippages and we topped it off with chocolate milkshakes and cake!
The trip to town also meant I could get my Comic Relief bag and a silk handkerchief for hubby, hurrah!
This afternoon at home we all settled down to watch Despicable Me - much smarter than the below average bear Boo Boo! I also finished the first dolls' quilt binding.
Well that was half term! Another Inset Day on Monday, but it's Daddy's turn to have a day off, and I'll be back at work, boo boo hiss!

Presents I want to keep!
With my sister in New Zealand, I have to plan ahead for birthdays and Christmas otherwise nothing would ever arrive on time, so with a birthday in a couple of weeks, I need to get this little lot in the post to her pronto!
The bag is a fantastic Angie Lewin design for Liberty in aid of Comic Relief. What a fantastic combination, I think I will be heading back to TKMaxx to get one for myself, because obviously the 6372 bags I already have aren't enough - and being for charity, I would be a mean old miser to not part with my money eh!? The red noses are so subtle and brilliant!
About a year ago I was studying printmaking as part of my C&G and one of my attempts at copying a design was an Angie Lewin print.
The fabrics swatches I received back then were beautiful, but very expensive. So now I am wondering why on earth I didn't just buy 2 bags in the first place... doh!
