Let this be a warning!

DO NOT leave all the badges in a pile for a year, and then think its a great idea to get them all stitched on the camp blankets in one hit!

Ta dah though!

1hour and one sore finger later!
I now only have 4 new ones to stitch on to their jackets, then I can tackle the Cub blanket!

So Happy Bank Holiday weekend everyone - I won't be blogging on Monday as I will be away with the Brownies, so hopefully I will be back and enjoying the peace and quiet on Tuesday evening.  Wish me luck!

  1. Badges.........I still have nightmares about badges!! Only when your about to set off to brownies or beavers do they mention the BADGES. Well done. Sarah

  2. I've always hated sewing badges on uniforms. I was a scout leader for 30 years and when I finished I hoped I would never sew another badge on, no such luck, my husband is still a leader and needs badges sewing on a new uniform!

  5. Well done! On camp blankets mine are always machine stitched on - and I'm still not a fan of hand stitching them on uniforms that then get grown out of. I think that the Brownies have it right when they put them on a sash that can grow with the girl! Have fun on Monday!

  8. My husband is a scout leader, and both my son and daughter are scouts. So yes we have individual piles of badges in various rooms, not my problem though, they all sew their own on....... eventually, and usually just before a camp.
