Quiet weekend...

We've had a quiet weekend.  Everyone was a bit exhausted after a week back at learning and working, and even the weather took a break; sunshine yesterday and a lot of grey nothing today.  Dear son took the Harry Potter cushion to the party and by all accounts it was very well received.

I sewed up a few more of my #economyblockalong blocks, and now have a grand total of 25/42...

Not a great photo, sorry.

The girls and I also decided on a couple of little projects out of a book Father Christmas got them; we pulled the fabrics, but quit before tempers were frayed too much; so we are ready to get sewing at some point this week, wish me luck!

I am all set for the final episode of Sherlock, (3, that's really not a series, pah!), and then I'll be off for an early night; totally rock and roll xxx

  1. Oh look, more people to supervise you peeing... :oD

I know, 3 episodes is a complete swizz! I'm making up for it with Series 1 and 2 reruns on Alibi

  2. I know, can't believe Sherlock is nearly over already :/ Your economy blocks are looking great. Looking forward to seeing what you and your girls make, I always need patience when sewing with my DD!

  3. Loving your economy blocks - I'll get on that bandwagon when it's gone out of fashion like I will the scrappy trip. (not that I'm behind!) As for Sherlock it's so sad it's over when it's just begun. Looking forward to seeing what you and the girls are making!

  4. Your economy quilt will be amazing - there is some super duper fussy cutting in those blocks!!

  5. Your economy blocks look scrummy. I wish they hadn't shown 2 Sherlocks the same week, makes it feel even shorter than it is.

  12. Oh, this is just lovely as can be! I haven't started yet and think I'm going to do the revised version by During Quiet Time. She added a little bit extra to the economy block and I like it a bit more.
Haven't got to see the final episodes of Sherlock ~ they don't start till next weekend (for some silly reason ~ I"m in the States) and can't wait! Sorry it's going to be over ~ loved the show!

  15. Whose temper frays? Yours or the girls? It's I like that in our house too, particularly with daughter. She gets frustrated quickly and loses temper, then that winds me up and I lose mine. We're too alike to work well together!
