The End is Nigh...

The end of term that is.

So today, I made 7 zippy purses for the teachers and teaching assistants who have had the pleasure of educating the FB brood this year...

It appears that this is the 2012 gift of choice - have you been over to Jo or Susan's today?

I'll pop a bit of Green & Blacks in to make up for not being from Marks & Spencer!

2 more days of work and school... not that I have been counting down the hours or anything, then, if someone could arrange some sunshine, I would be most grateful.

  1. those are really nice, and are making me feel a bit crap for not having organised anything for our teachers!

  4. Look at yours, all the same size and everything. You obviously don't fob the teachers off with the off cuts and odd sized bits of fabric that I did!

  8. Having received many teacher gifts over the years I can guarantee that your pouches will be much loved and appreciated. There are only so many "I Love My Teacher" mugs that one can use!

  9. Oh feeling left out now, or you are just so last year, I did zippy pouches last year, this year it's zakka style...he's photographing them right now...I have a bag in the Erin McMorris fabric so think that one must be for me?

  10. Nice! Next time around I'll try to make them with zipper tabs as well. I made pouches as well, I purchased a pattern (that I later discovered needs some tweaking) for some tea cup shaped pouches, and to make up for the zipper gone shambles I put in some hand made soaps. Need to keep the teachers clean you know... ;-)

  23. Wow, I'd move to the UK and become a teacher for some green & blacks and a zippy pouch! I just can't believe the school year goes so long! But maybe the kids getting out will turn the weather around and it will be nothing but sunshine and thunderbugs. (not sure if that's the real name for them, but I was in England one summer... 86 maybe?...when the weather was setting heat records and there were swarms of these awful, flying, flea like bugs everywhere. They'd get in your hair, your eyes, your food. My sister and I called them thunderbugs.)

  24. Well done for cranking them all out! The good news is apparently the weather will improve next week, well, for those down south, we up north may still be getting damp!

  26. Curse you. Like Susan, yours are significantly neater than mine. I am suffering from zippy-pouch-inferiority-complex now, at least I can probably safely assume that not many of my son's nursery workers read your blogs, I suppose...

  37. Wow! You made all of them? Impressive work. They are all beautiful. I must say. You got the skill. I should try to make some too. A little bigger than them.

  38. what do you mean? Make up for not being from M and S? These are unique, beautiful and useful gifts, They are vastly superior to anything M and S would produce!
The Green and Blacks will probably be a very tasty addition, but 'make up for'? I think not even in the running with yours!
