Today started dismally, or is that didn't start at all.
Got in the car, ready to drop dear son off at school on my way to work, and the car did nothing. Not a hiccup, not a struggle not a thing. The dash flashed up 'ELECTRICAL FAILURE' for a brief second and then that disappeared too.
So a wet and windy walk to school and back, a call to the RAC and another to dear hubby at work, then all I could do was sit back and wait for the man...
It was only a dead battery thank goodness, so a couple of hours and a hundred pounds lighter, I opted to take leave rather than go in to work for an hour, and that was the highlight of my day!
Still, I got to lay out all my D9P blocks and this afternoon I cut the remainder of the Kaleidoscope batiks.
So in answer to the question, no, today was not better than yesterday - I am putting all my money on Friday being great. It better be, as my optimistic powers are almost depleted!
Friday will be brill!!! And if nothing else it's the day before the weekend yippeeee!!
ReplyDeleteGuess wot, my oven broke this week so we are having pasta and beans and anything we can cook sans an oven!
There are just weeks like that, it seems. I hope tomorrow is absolutely wonderful for you!!!
ReplyDeleteInvest in wine first thing in the morning tomorrow so that you can make sure that it is a good day! Hate when cars go wrong and there isn't a husband instantly on hand to fix the situation. Some things I just like to hand over responsibility for not matter how girlie that sounds. Fingers crossed that tomorrow is nothing but smiles, giggles and wine.
ReplyDeleteAt least by Friday it's practically the weekend, so that's a reason to like Fridays however they pan out! The blues and reds looks yummy, and it sounds like you gained an hour with fabric :-)
ReplyDeleteGoodness! Stuff like that drives me mad. Why, why when you bought the car do you need to pay more to make it go? Drives me nuts.
ReplyDeleteA little stitching (and/or a drink or two) will make it all better :)
Chocolate. Lots of it. Hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm with Susan, get the wine in. I also recommend chocolate and/or cake. That way you know for definite it will be a great day tomorrow :-) I hate having to call the AA/RAC - one year we called the AA so many times that they told us we had only 1 callout left till our renewal date 4 months away!!
ReplyDeletefriday will be fabulous.. 3 time lucky! you makes continue to amaze me! x
ReplyDeleteTGIF.......it WILL be better.
ReplyDeleteOh sorry to hear you've had a pants day! It can only get better right? At least there was sewing related productivity in there - not a total waste of a day! Roll on the weekend (& I'm with the chocolate crew!). Jxo
ReplyDeleteHello you, just back from hols, and catching up on bloggy news, sorry about the crap stuff, with headaches to boot as well, hate them, I really think Friday will be better :) (they normally are!) and OMG I LOVE your red and white blocks! Soo cool! Will report back on mine, it's much better seeing the blocks as they get made, it spurs me on...
ReplyDeletePS Sarah got your quilt, brilliant!
Here's to Friday, then!!! Sorry about the car and soggy walk, but mostly about the 100 pounds that are no longer available for fabric purchasing. Boo, hiss!
ReplyDeleteShame about the car...but always a relief when its nothing serious.
ReplyDeleteFriday is here and I hope it is better for you!
