Blog followers will be familiar with a certain set of hexie flowers that have been hanging around here for years; cropping up on my FAL list every quarter and never getting the attention they deserve!
Well in the spirit of sharing, and moving on and going forth into the New Year, I am basically passing the buck!
So it's a win-win. I get to move something off my never-ending To Do list, something that I haven't fallen out of love with, just don't have the time to turn into something super, and you get a pretty half-made project to play with.
I am not one for hoops, so just leave me one comment, telling me which WIP you keep putting to the bottom of the pile.
This giveaway is for followers only, because it's my blog, my rules, so expect me to check that you really are, (you can tell me how you follow if you want to be helpful); and if you are a no-reply blogger, then for goodness sake leave an email address!
I will pick a winner next Tuesday evening, 22nd December, 8pm GMT, so if all goes to plan I will be able to pop into the Post Office before Christmas, (although that's a sincere hope, but not a promise!).
Open internationally; multiple comments will be deleted and Random.org will do the business.
Good luck my friends xxx
I keep putting my ET blocks to the bottom of the list - I love them but prepping them is time intensive and I never seem to get round to it. Also, I have at least two 'to be started' projects that never seem to get to the top of the list...or even on it! Thanks for the giveaway, I follow through Feedly.
ReplyDeleteI bought the Swoon pattern and fabric for the quilt years ago and keep putting it off. But one day we will have a quilt for our bed, I hope. I follow you with Bloglovin. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have a Merchant and Mills dress pattern that has been on my list for the last four years, despite my best intentions I haven't progressed beyond prewashing my fabric! I follow via bloglovin' :)
ReplyDeleteI've got a lighthouse quilt that was a relative's request. Not my cup of tea at all ! I'm seeing him next June, so I can leave it until May can't I? ( following through bloglovin xxx)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love hexagons, and could easily put these to good use. My WIP that I keep putting off......a granny square blanket......that got down-graded in optimism to a pillow cover.......which is still 9 squares short and languishing at the bottom of my coffee table, staring balefully at me of an evening 😟 Oh well, maybe one day! I follow you on bloglovin.
ReplyDeleteI love Love Loooove Hexie's !!! Would love to add these to my box! Thanks for the chance! I have a hand applique project that is pushed to bottom of list too often..but I am so slow at it! lol

MERRY CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS!!!!
Awesome. I have a friend who would love to have these. I promise to keep passing the buck all the way to Japan!
ReplyDeleteI have too many WIP's to list. I have so litte time to sew, I manage to move on and ignore things that aren't quite working for me right now. Although - I just sewed a travel jewelry roll that was ginormous and maybe not my best sewing on the binding - I moved it into the etsy shop for cost of materials and it sold within a few days.
Have a delightful Christmas!
Kathy
I am a fairly new quilter and do not have enough projects yet to have a list. But I can see that coming soon! I follow through GFC.

I have a King Sized quilt that I decided needed cornerstones in the sashing. I need to sew those in so I do about 10 every month or so.
ReplyDeleteMy son's quilt... thankfully he doesn't know it's for him, or else he'd make sure I would finish it first thing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas! (I follow through blogloving. And through Feedly. you know, just to make sure I read your posts...)
I have all the blocks from a bee with the best ladies ever. One lady did not sent her blocks and the "angel" messed up the block so terrible that I never ever touched the blocks again. I still feel so sad for all the work those amazing women put in there so rudly destroied ... but it is Christmas so lets be happy :) Happy Christmas
ReplyDeleteI keep putting the paper pieced Star Wars quilt for my daughter to the bottom of the pile. I really need to just get on with it, as it closer to being finished than not (i.e I'm well past the halfway mark!).
ReplyDeleteI have several bags waiting to be finished. (an also a hexagon quilt, to be put on the wall where my biggest son glued a picture then took it off.... thus instead painting it, I started a quilt, two years ago).

My glitter quilt is getting no love at the moment, along with some embroidery which I started a long while ago.
ReplyDeleteHi, I follow through Feedly. I have a quilt top that I paused to order more fabric but have never gone back to finish.
ReplyDeleteI have a crochet blanket that I've been working on for over a year. I should finish it but it's a labourious design and is taking me forever. I follow by email.
ReplyDeleteI have a "baby's fist year" quilt for my grandson at the bottom of the list. :( He is going to be 4 the 19th of January. :( Some Nana I am. lol. I have put it on my planner to get done in 2016 though, and it will be done!
ReplyDeleteI follow by email. I've got a Christmas tree quilt top finished two years now and it always gets pushed off the list due to other gifts needing the time. It needs to be basted and quilted. Those hexies are cute. I haven't tried working with them but always wanted to. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI follow by bloglovin. Your hexie flowers your fit in right with mine. I'm sure they will all mingle.... Love this kind of give away. Merry christmas and happy new year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet idea!! You are awesome. I have blocks given to me during my participation in the Modern 4x5 bee that I've had for 3 years' now. I think I'm afraid my quilt won't do them justice. Determined to do something with them in 2016! I follow you via email. Merry Christmas Hadley!
ReplyDeleteI follow with Bloglovin. I started a strip quilt a couple of years ago and it is still in pieces in a drawer, I just fell out of love with the thing and it glares at me occasionally when I rummage nearby. x
ReplyDeleteI follow via Instagram. I've yet to finish a table runner I started about 3 years ago. Periodically it surfaces and then finds it's way to the bottom of the pile again! Hope you have a lovely Christmas.

A quilt for our king size bed. I actually nearly got a top finished last year-but have decided to change colors I our room, so now it is back to square one! I follow you on bloglovin
ReplyDeleteI keep putting britbee II to the bottom of the wip pile... I am so anxious I'll make a mess of it. Stupid, its top of my "quilts I wish I had on the wall" list!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, where shall I start? I have enough epp blocks to make a quilt, and at least half are appliquéd onto the backing, but I've gone right off it. There are many others which may or may not ever get done. Hopefully these blocks would fit into my diamond hexie quilt, which has also stalled!
ReplyDeleteI have put aside a quilt that I am hand quilting a few times now but that is because I need to make gifts for Christmas... I sure that after that there will be another excuse too!!! Lol I follow you via Bloglovin! Thanks for the chance!!
ReplyDeleteHa, this idea is brilliant....I vow to hand my unfinished triangle baby quilt off to someone that wants to quilt and bind it if I win! Munki.mi (at) gmail (dot) com
ReplyDeleteI have so many WIP's but the longest outstanding one is from a quilt kit I bought from my first quilt show 15 years ago, top pieced and that's it lol. Thank you for the chance to win. Xx
ReplyDeleteMy WIP that keeps getting blacklisted is a quilt for my son in civil war reproduction fabrics. It is a sampler quilt and it's just not calling to me. Thanks for the chance. Camille@focus20.com
ReplyDeleteoh, they could join my hexie collection. And Tuesday the 22nd dec is one of my lucky days.

For me the quilt at the bottom of the pile is a Lemyone star quilt for my daughter. It takes concentration, and I'm not quite sure on some of the techniques I need to get the effect I want. I follow you with bloglovin. sarah@forrussia.org
ReplyDeleteI have a few fall wallhangings that keep getting put on the bottom of the pile, I'll make a block or two and just forget about them. Would love to tackle your hexies. Thanks and have a great Christmas!
ReplyDeleteOh, I have a 3/4 finished quilt that was supposed to be a wedding gift...5 years ago!
ReplyDeleteI follow you with Bloglovin. Merry Christmas!
I spray baste and I don't know if I got a bad can or what but I started quilting a lap quilt and it was just pulling all over everywhere. I let it sit for about 6 weeks because unpicking is not fun but I started the unpicking last night. BUT not before I tried to pay my husband $5 an hour to do it for me! He was smart and said he'd start on Wednesday....
