Crafting...

In the name of being a crafty mother, I am helping all 3 kiddos get their respective Brownie and Cub craft badges; I am not having them let the side down!

So stage one, a trip to Hobbycraft today for supplies...

... and then dear son sketched out the Creeper cushion he is going to make...

You have never seen such a beaming smile as when my insta-friends (and some Minecraft geeks) hit the Like button!  Thank you all.

We spent the afternoon starting some papier mache bowls too.

I will report back on progress, but at present, morale and patience are still running high!!

  1. Fab kiddy crafting! Being an Explorer leader is rubbish sometimes, they never bring cute bits of badge work to show off :-(

  2. Sounds like a lot of fun. Hope the morale remains high. Cannot wait to show the mine craft cushion to my son. He's older but still a fan.

  3. Stop! I want to make papier mache too! Years ago, at school, we make papier mache piggy banks using a balloon for the body and corks for the feet. Can't wait until Dan's a bit older to do this kind of thing without destroying my house completely. Looking forward to seeing the results :)

  6. Well done! I'm sure that they will do you proud! (I'm just getting over supervising a Guiding 'Confectioners Badge' - the boiling sugar is quite stressful compared to the chocolate melting / icing piping.....)

  7. Can I come and play - one of the drawbacks of having no kids is I don't get to do this. I have to borrow friends children!

  8. How cute is your family? Brilliant.

  9. Can we have a pattern - I have 2 mad minecraft fans and they would love a creeper cushion. They sing 'creepers, creepers everywhere' to the tune of Coldplay's Paradise, drives me mad!
