All set for Cub Camp in the early evening sunshine...
My poor boy, the weather forecast will wash that smile off your face by the morning I'm afraid!
Still, a rainy old weekend will hopefully give me some sewing time, every cloud and all that. Have a good one folks x
Bless him. Think of the muddy clothes to come back though.
ReplyDeleteI remember collecting several grubby scouts after a wet weekend camp. Took lots of bin bags to put their muddy shoes in, and made them wear the offending items when I saw the state of their socks!! Oh Happy Days!
ReplyDeleteIf he's anything like my son and his friends were, the weather won't matter a bit. Mud football anyone? It will get you in training for Glastonbury.
ReplyDeleteI hope they get some breaks from the rain and have fun!
ReplyDeleteHe'll have a great time! And before you wash anything consider whether you can just throw it away!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's all character building stuff. You are not allowed to grow into an adult if you haven't spent some hideous weekend camping in the rain ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope he enjoys his weekend. It is absolutely bucketing down here.
ReplyDeleteHe is not the only one who will have the smile wiped off, wait till you see the washing !! I am sure he will have a great time my boys always did no matter what the weather was like :)
ReplyDeletemy son always seemed to have enjoyed it the most when he came home wet and stinky and covered in who knew what!!!
ReplyDeleteI suspect he'll have to strip off in the back garden so you can hose him down before letting him back in the house...
ReplyDeleteWell, having seen your IG post it seems you were absolutely correct!!
ReplyDeleteAw...the optimism that it's all going to be OK if he's with his friends.
