Barn Dance...

As well as already getting my May Siblings Together and Bee Blessed blocks under my belt, I have also fulfilled my Stitch Tease commitment for Cindy - quilt barns, barn quilts.

We were directed over to a choice of tutes over at Bee In My Bonnet, and off I went.  I opted to make one without a silo; that one made me snigger too much.

So I decided on my barn quilt, a simple but lovely 6" churn dash, and pulled many many fabrics before settling on the final selection...

This was a fun barn to build and as we always say, it will be another wonderful quilt, when all those barns get together!

Just in case you were wondering the Brit Bee medallions are still growing, secretly in the background; I just realised that I didn't take any photos of my April/May contribution, but that is ticked off my list too.

So all my Bee commitments for the month are fulfilled, and I now have all the April Siblings Together blocks home too, so I can do a happy dance and get plotting some fun stuff xxx

  1. It looks great! Not surprised you couldn't bring yourself to attach a silo!

  3. Ha..the May blocks were easy and fun, not so much if you piece a quarter the wrong way round, package it and not notice till you post it to flickr...
As for Craftsy, i might have been heard shouting at the teacher...

  9. Just catching up since Wed - great bee blocks, no you're not the only one with that aversion to Craftsy classes, even though I too have a ton of them waiting to be watched, and great month!

  10. These barns are fun, I've see a couple around the internet. I sure would love a turquoise barn with an orange door.
