Today we had a rare occurrence, dear son off for a day out with the Cubs, and the girls over in Brighton at a Build-a-Bear party!
So we popped into the village between the rain showers to have a quick look round the Italian market that had come for the day. We came home with giant slabs of nougat, which it would appear is worth more than its weight in gold!
The pistachio was very nice though!
I then spent the afternoon looking at a big pile of fabric, going nowhere fast - sod's law; I think I finally made a decision just when the hoards came home.
Questa รจ la vita!
at least you had some time being you rather than mum!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the thinking and mulling things over time is equally important! Especially when it is child free :)
ReplyDeleteI do love a good ponder but only when I actually come up with an answer! Hope you don't have to wait too long to get started!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a spot of pondering. Happy stitching when you can get past the pondering though.
ReplyDeleteyum!
ReplyDeleteI often use all my quilting time just trying to make decisions, I am glad I am not the only one. Sounds like a nice day all the same.
ReplyDeleteat least a nice change of pace!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to have adult time isn't it. Are you on half term now, can you start on that pile of fabrics in the week?
ReplyDeleteOoh love nougat or 'nugget' as my Scottish granny called it.
ReplyDeleteSend the Italian market up to me please. I've come away with my machine and the Brit bee stuff as I was not well yesterday so did not even look at fabric. Will have to take over my mum's kitchen table.
ReplyDeletenice to have some alone time, without the kidlets
ReplyDeleteAny left? Thought not!
