Today we went to the cinema, Rio2, not the worst I have ever seen, it kept the kids quiet for a couple of hours, no bad thing.
After a ridiculously salt-encrusted McDonalds, it was off to Eternal Maker, just for basting spray and a 1/2m of something pretty you understand.
No sooner had the kids posed for an insta-pic, they spotted their old Teaching Assistant, the one I made a needlebook for.
She did not get a job in Hobbycraft, oh no, she only bloody works in my dream job!!!
I wasn't expecting that! So now the girls are desperate to go back as frequently as possible, which is fine by me.
And what did I come out with...
New in Echino - hexy bees, new in Ellen Luckett Baker - Garden triangles, Monaluna Modern Home leaves, a dose of the green-eyed monster and the spray!
Linking my little trip up with Cindy and the Randomeers x
But at least the kids want to go back regularly, any excuse!
ReplyDeleteI think her working there is the next best thing to perfect. You can just sk the girls any time you want, 'Who wants to go visit Miss...'
ReplyDeleteok now I get the giving up teaching!! ;) Love the bees! Hope Rio2 was better than Ice Age 4 - what a waste of time that was!
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious!....your son doesn't look overly impressed...Rio 2 hmmmm I just took my 16yr old to see the leggo movie, I must admit it was very cleverly done.
ReplyDeleteHobbycraft indeed, the cheek of it!
ReplyDeleteWe seem to use whatever excuse we can to feed our fabric addiction!
ReplyDeleteThat is brilliant! I'm a bit envious of those hexi bees, what a great print xx
ReplyDeleteI just love those Hexy bees
ReplyDeleteSounds like my kind of day!
ReplyDeleteGreat excuse for return trips! The hexy bees are delightful.
ReplyDeleteshe obviously knew she couldn't tell you the truth! Love the hexie bees. I am visiting the UK in June/July and I am putting The Eternal Maker on my list of places I have to go to!!
ReplyDeleteSo kind of you to let's the girls meet the TA, a truely selfless act ! (I can't believe she didn't tell you where she was going!)
ReplyDeletePretty pretty fabric. Any excuse, right?
ReplyDeleteOhhh I want new Ellen Luckett Baker! It's good that the kids want to keep going to the shop though, right? :D
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could get a 'friends' discount at Eternal Maker now!
ReplyDeleteSwapping a job filled with snot, vomit, wee, dashing round like a mad thing and playground duty in the depths of winter for a job where you're surrounded by fabric, buttons and thread? No, I can't understand it, either *winks*
ReplyDeletemaybe the ideal job doesn't have tea breaks!
ReplyDeleteI love those hexie bees!
