Quokka Quilts Blogger's Choice...

I don't like to miss out, especially if all I have to do is sit on my backside and browse my way through the entire Fat Quarter Shop inventory!

So here is my pick for the awesome Blogger's Choice competition being run by Laura over at Quokka Quilts...

This is actually about my 5th selection, it was just a teensy bit difficult to narrow down all those gorgeous fabrics to 15, but I am stopping now or it will be never-ending.

I started with Melody Miller's Ruby Star Spring - Buzz as my original inspiration, but as you can tell by the end mosaic, I kind of got sidetracked, but I am rather pleased with the end result.
If you haven't already entered, why not give it a go too, and you could win a 1/2 yard bundle; how fantastic would that be?!

PS.  I actually sewed something yesterday evening, it felt so good to get the machine whirring again - I'll show you tomorrow!

  3. I had some lovely fabrics under the Christmas tree, so am keeping clear of new temptations at the moment! I don't think I've sewn for a week. (other than the FQ bags, which are now ready to be posted) so I think today is the day to start again!

  4. Ooh, love that colour combo. In fact I think I actually have some of those fabrics already, so I'm partway to your bundle (hadn't thought of combining them before mind!) I'm working on mine later

  9. I wouldn't naturally combine that blue and that orange, but it works! IT really looks effective, and slightly unusual. I love it.
I am still getting my head round trying to do this challenge- it is a challenge isn't it?- but I think we have to join in!

  10. *grabs a pen and scrbbles down the fabric names* Sorry Hadders, but I just had to steal your colour selection :P *sniggers*
Sometimes the orange/grey combination can be awful as the wrong oranges are used, but yours is so refreshing.
