Made using the Mollie Makes (issue7) tutorial, and downloadable pattern; with the children in charge of the colour combo, he had to resemble the picture in the magazine as closely as possible!
I didn't quite finish him last night, but he probably only took a couple of hours to sew together, a little longer for cutting out all the pattern pieces and felt.
Hairy shoulders! |
He will be heading to my parents' on Saturday, as a birthday gift for my Dad, where I will also have to measure their dining table, again, so I can complete their Dead Simple table cloth in time for Christmas.
I am hoping for a quieter night than the last, as one poorly twin in the bed with mummy and daddy, full of cold and unable to get comfy, did not make for a refreshing rest! 'Tis the season xxx
OMG he is hilarious! Hairy shoulders, monster boobs and all. What a fun gift for your Dad. I bet the kids are going to be bursting for him to open it!!
ReplyDeletep.s. also love how his arms reach his ankles. This guy makes me howl with laughter.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the hairy back detail. Wonderful present and I am sure your dad will love him!

ReplyDeleteFunny - think you are going to have to name him!
ReplyDeleteGood night and sweet undisturbed dreams! Hope she is better!
I love your monster creation-collaboration! What a fun project. Sorry to hear about one of your twins being sick-- my daughter came into our bed in the middle of the night on Sunday, burning hot and crying that she had a headache (her first). She snuggled in with us and was able to sleep soundly once the motrin set in. She slept til 10:30am the next morning, but felt fine and no fever. I realized it was a delayed reaction to the flu shot she had on Fri. Hope you have a more restful night tonight!
ReplyDeleteExcellent monster - I got that issue too. Monsters are so popular just now.
ReplyDeleteFabulous monster! Hope your little one is feeling better and you have a better sleep tonight!
