'Christmas'!
Yep, the time has finally come for the festivities to really begin in the FB household. After the regular cleaning and tidying, and a quick birthday party in the middle of the day, I cracked open the boxes of pretty things and we set to it. Last year was spent surrounded by packing cases, so this year we really want it to feel like a proper Christmas. We have our first real tree since the girls were born, and it's a beauty...
We actually have 4 trees, a white pop-up in the conservatory, a 3' pink tinsel one "decorated" by the girls and put in their room and a 3' green one of dear son's with a Doctor Who figure on the top! Paper chains, tinsel and decorations are scattered throughout the rest of the house, and the scrappy wreath has been getting a daytime airing. I'm starting to feel real excitement and sheer panic now!
I do have a couple of other makes to show you from the other evening, my Secret Santa gifts for a lady at work...
I hope she isn't too disappointed that it isn't a singing snowman or a willy-shaped soap!
Lovely makes, and your tree looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAny chance of a willy warning? I had a cup of coffee to my lips as I read that.....
ReplyDeleteThat willy comment just reminded me of a girl when I was on the ships who only got willies for Christmas one year - willy soaps, wind up willy, willy candle, etc. She thought it was funny at first but soon got a bit marked!
ReplyDeleteLove your tree! Coming tree shopping in your neck of the woods next year!
Ahh, looking very festive there missus.
ReplyDeleteAs for the gift, really, there were no willy shaped soaps in the shops? Guess those will have to do then ;o)
But it isn't Christmas without a willy soap!!!
ReplyDeleteOoooooh, I do love a 'white pop-up in the conservatory.'
ReplyDeleteLovely secret santy pouch, you didnt feel like felting a willy to go in it?!
ReplyDeleteI for one would love a willy shaped soap ;)
ReplyDeletecannot resist a puerile comment
ReplyDelete4 trees, that's a lot of decorating. 4 trees, that's a lot of decorating
ReplyDeleteLovely tree! I expect there is time on the way to work to pick up the soap...
ReplyDeleteI'm not feeling Christmassy yet. Santa in shorts doesn't do it for me, and I think my brother is as far uninterested in Christmas as I am interested! FB household is looking good!
ReplyDeleteSweet tree! I think I would prefer a Bill Bar to a willy shaped soap. It's all in the nomenclature.
ReplyDeleteI would much prefer your pouch & brooch thanks! Jxo
ReplyDeleteThis felt stuff gets everywhere - very nice brooch! We did our tree this weekend too so must post picture (as soon as I tidy up around it!) The idea of four really scares me!! Annabelle x
ReplyDeleteYes I'm with Sarah - was thinking a stuffed one in pink felt rather than needle felted - though that might be funny to make in the presence on 'male members' of the family!
ReplyDeleteWould prefer your makes though anyday!
Love your tree - now have tree envy! Love your pouch too but then I always do.
ReplyDeletewilly shaped soap!! Where do you get such delights?!! The gifts looks great and the tree is very pretty :) - love the green and blue!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty tree. And I am sure your friends will be delighted with her secret Santa gift and everyone else will wish they were your partner!
ReplyDeleteHow about a willy felt brooch?! I'm sure she'd be delighted...Love the trees, don't suppose you fancy coming over and doing mine?!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should have left 'felt' out of the willy brooch suggestion...
