Well, as I confided in a couple of friends last night, I think I have a rather nasty carbuncle on my derrière!
Do you want to see?
I've finished off my Across the Sea crosses, and trimmed them to size, however this one block is not making me happy. Here are the rest...
I love them, the pale green one shows up better when not in the bright sunshine, and they make me smile. However I am pretty sure that I don't want this one on my quilt!
As I have been cutting the crosses from layer cake squares, and have been rather selective with my colours, I think I have come up with a solution for another block using my only remaining offcuts...
I did a little sketching and then the cutting, and hopefully I might get to sew them tomorrow before we go to a wedding hog roast in the park.
Look, even my flowers match my blocks...
Here's to a lovely weekend everyone, whilst I ponder my backside xxx
intriguing!
ReplyDeleteAye, I think your backside is far too lovely for a block that is kinda reminding me o' a hairy wart... Freeze that sucker out! x
ReplyDeleteoh Bum! I hate it when that happens, there's something to be said for fussy cutting, look forward to seeing your fix :) Have a great weekened! x
ReplyDeleteShove that one on the back. ENjoy your weekend.x
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sheila, putting it on the back is a good idea.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers!
I have to agree with Sarah that is one huge hairy wart ... your backside is much too lovely for that!
ReplyDeleteAn exploding zit came to mind! Have fun! Jxo
ReplyDeleteIt's such a shame because the little bee on that flower is really cute and nicely placed but it's definitely a bit moley! xx
ReplyDeleteHadley - it`s a little bit like a leaky cow pat - bin it and show us the other tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteCould you get away with ripping out and replacing the centre (or middle 3)?
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
It's an ugly one, alright! Surgical removal required at once. I am sure the replacement will be everything this one isn't. Enjoy the wedding/hog roast!
ReplyDeleteYour bum looks fine from here! Yes- perhaps some surgical enhancement is required on that block though!
ReplyDeleteI was intrigued where the post title was going! Not much contrast or definition there, hope you can do better with the scraps!
ReplyDeleteDon't use it if you are not happy with it. Good job you decided that before you put it all together and quilted!!( I always like to look on the bright side)Have a great Hog Roast!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...it's the sort of backside that has to sit on a rubber ring ;o) Could you replace the middle three (the ones with the brown on them) with a different print? Having said that, I'm looking forward to seeing your new block as the others are lovely!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great time out and didn't worry to much about your backside.... I really like the greeny flowers. mmmmmm now i have no idea what you can do cos it looks great to me!
ReplyDeleteErr, yes, that is rather unfortunate, especially the colour! Still, the rest look fab, looking forward to seeing what you come up with as a replacement :o)
ReplyDeleteOh no, Hadley! It's horrible when you have a great picture in your head and it doesn't quite work out. Stinks. Thank goodness you have a little hope!
ReplyDeleteI really like the pinky square in your second photo :)
oh well Hadley it can only get better! But you know you can do better and will not settle for less!
