Off they all went, battling the elements on the first day of term!
There was a little emergency waistband-reduction required just before the off; how can Age 3-4 be too big!?
The girls loved every minute, until home-time, when one book bag was AWOL, which I am generously putting down to first day parental nerves of a mum unable to remember her own child's name after a few hours of separation! It better be back tomorrow, I can't go through placating a devastated 4 year old for another afternoon!
I got tonnes done in the 3 hours of empty house though; I'll provide photographic evidence tomorrow as long as we don't have to build an Ark overnight! I had to wear wellies at pick up time, for goodness sake!!!
I have hexie bag and Across The Sea news, and a number of trolleys on my eBay watchlist! Although today, a rubber dingy would have been more apt! Roll on tomorrow xx
Your two are so cute! Look at those new shoes! Went shopping for those with Felix today, but Clarks had run out, darn it!
ReplyDeleteOh how cute, but OMG what mischief! Glad you got plenty done!
ReplyDeleteOh bless! They are so cheekily gorgeous. Glad they had a great day. Do they know they have to keep going back for the next twelve years or more?
ReplyDeleteAhh, you have those delicate, normal sized children... my mum always complained she had to buy my clothes at least one age band above what I was to get the height (I think she was jealous, she topped out at 5' while I made it to 5'7" ;o) )
ReplyDeleteHope the errant book bag returns tomorrow, and the mother with the brain fart realises the error of her ways.
We're paddling too, with some howling winds for good measure...
Absolutely adorable girls. So glad school went well for them today and I am sure that book bag will turn up!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to checking out your QAL progress. :)
Your girls are so sweet! I'm sure the book bag will turn up - we lost a blazer in the first few days back and I finally got it back today after 2 weeks of daily visits to 'lost property'
ReplyDeleteBlogger wouldn't let me comment on your last post, but I was going to tell you that a few Mums at our school have trolleys - but not the tartan variety. These are some new funky breed of trolley, a bit like those bright stylish suitcases you see. I think you should get one!
Yay! it let me comment again :)
ReplyDeleteSuch cuties. I admit I do look forward just a bit to the day my twins start school. Although, after my day with them today, I just might send them to boarding school.
ReplyDeleteGood golly you've got gorgeous children! Fingers crossed the book back appears tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteThe girls look so excited!! The book bag probably wentvwith somecelse whose name started with the same letter! I do wonder why the schools don't offer a whole rainbow of colour choices to make it a bit easier! Hope today is drier!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Butter wouldn't melt! I think they should introduce microchipping for kids & their stuff! Glad you got some sewing done, can't wait to see! Jxo
ReplyDeleteOh no! It will have to be back today, right? With any luck, the offending mama packed it with lunch for your girls :)
ReplyDeleteYour girls are adorable! Hope they're enjoying school :)
ReplyDeleteThis rain is crazy!!
Those girls look like the epitome (another granny word) of "double trouble"
ReplyDeleteBrilliant picture! They look like right little monkeys... I love them already :-)
ReplyDeleteThey look very sweet in their uniforms. Make the most of those 'empty house' moments!
ReplyDeleteOh, they look so sweet - glad they liked it! I love the QAL top - fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOh here it is - they look super adorable and glad the bag is back. Phew.
ReplyDeleteThey are just super adorable!
