This has been a long long long and expensive week.
To add to everything, today included a car service and MOT for my wheels and some RAC assistance for hubby's motor - but all good, safe, and working now.
I've cleaned and hoovered and given the playroom a good sort through too, so I can now go into the weekend with a big old smile on my face.
Last night's 'playing about' resulted in this, which I am pretty happy with...
The buttons are mother of pearl, but not showing so well here. I need to put some more felt on my humongous shopping list, as these are getting addictive, and bigger!
And especially for Nicky, and anyone else who was wondering, the 'blue circle thing' that frequently appears in my 'indoor' photos, is a side table...
Tomorrow will involve my nephew's 4th birthday party, and a little trip to the POST OFFICE!! I have two parcels that need posting - in fact, I need to get on and wrap the second one now, and then my 'making' part in the Goodie Swap will be fulfilled - anyone-else feeling excited?!
Hope your weekends are destined to be full of fun, lovely people and great things (especially those with weird Swedish names!) x
Great brooch Hadley! The colours are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very cool table. I think there has been so many lovely things in the goodie swap it's hard not to get excited. Need to wrap and post my two parcels now.
ReplyDeleteCute brooch - perhaps you could work on a fscinator! I`ll be playing with my new machine this weekend! Yay!

ReplyDeleteCute table, hope you pick up lots of other stylish accessories this weekend (as well as a skip full of fabric!)
ReplyDeletePS the verification system made me type the word RADGE - and I am giggling for a reason I can't quite fathom :)
Have a fantastic time in the land of Sweedish meatballs! It's going to be fantastic - it always is :)
ReplyDeleteI have little bits to finish off before heading to the post office, but I'm not far behind you!!! So exciting!!!
Thanks Hadley you have satisfied my curiosity - nice table! Love your brooch! I've posted one parcel today! Need to wrap the other up for tomorrow and then I can stop worrying! And start celebrating - I feel like I'm six waiting for Christmas! hehe!
ReplyDeleteI love that brooch (would look great on a winter coat) but I'm afraid the star of the post is the table!! Have fun in IKEA - I wonder how many of the names you can pronounce (think I'd only get about 5 and two of those are 'billy' and 'lack'!!)

Lovely brooch, I have an exclusive designer one just like it! LOL. Have a great Swedish weekend - are you buying flat packed? Have fun assembling! (we take bets on how long until Brian starts muttering €[**?¥ Ikea ). How lovely that your kids have cousins of similar ages: the girls' cousins are 15 years older on Brian's side, and 15 years younger on my side :-(
ReplyDeleteGreat table, has a Scandinavian feel to it.........work today- post office on the way tho with 2 parcels, yippee we'll all be watching for Mr Postie next week!

ReplyDeleteIt is only going to get more expensive when you visit the land of the Swedes! But have fun!
ReplyDeleteVery cute flowers. My car's due for its MOT and new tax disc next week, I'm trying not to think about it! (although the tax is only £30 for the year, can't really moan about that!)
