I am giving you a single random, what with my computer misery an' all, but it's better than nothing... I hope!
Discovered when we got back from school today, to shouts of "Mummy there's a squashed owl or something in the garden, come quick..."
Linking with Cindy as always xxx
Sometimes my children's knowledge of wildlife surprises me. But really a squashed owl!!! Sarah
ReplyDeletepretty funny!
ReplyDeleteI give up! If it isn't a squashed,?????
ReplyDeleteHahahaha!!
ReplyDeleteWow, your kids are really in tune with nature, have they ever seen trees, or do you live in a concrete jungle? ;o) And can I just say, i always enjoy a random quickie with you H!
ReplyDeleteThats funny. Cute though...I would love to have a hedgehog in my garden. Did see a badger one night and get foxes but never a hedgehog :(
ReplyDeleteLove hedgies!!!
ReplyDeleteMust have been a hard landing, from quite a height- he jumped without a parachute, from 40,000 feet... to squash an owl like that!
ReplyDeleteMummy, you need to sign them up to the RSPB ;o)
ReplyDeleteMy little American kids wouldn't have recognized it either -- we don't have them over here. My kids were greatly amused to see the big raccoon exhibit in a German zoo -- they're garbage can-tipping pests over here!
ReplyDeleteCute!!!
ReplyDeleteuh.....I had to read the comments to figure it what it was, its a hedgehog.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought the British education system superior to the Canadian! What are they teaching your young people over there? LOL.
ReplyDeleteCute story, Hadley. We have hedgehogs in fancy pet shops over here. However, I'm guessing that they did as any kid with a foreign living object appearing unexpectedly in the back yard and ran to mum before getting close enough to identify it. :) If I squint, I can see an "owl."
I'm glad I read the comments so I knew what it really was.
ReplyDeleteNature books this weekend then!!? Glad they are keeping you amused!
ReplyDeleteFunny but they get to know about animals from all over the world but we forget to tell them what's in their own countryside.
Haha - hilarious!
ReplyDeleteHaha, squashed owl :) I remember when my sister and I were kids we came ran home from the yard we shared with our neighbours shouting about a cat-dog-squirrel. It took my dad a while to persuade us it was just the neighbours' new dog.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a pet hedgehog :) Our neighbourhood one is called Ted Jogg and we believe he is hibernating in a bush next to our house as our dog takes extreme interest. Bit early in the day for squashed owls to be out? hehe
ReplyDeleteHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat made me chuckle. Must be the Harry Potter influence!
ReplyDeleteLOL Thanks for the chuckle :)
ReplyDeleteFun!
ReplyDeleteThey probably wouldn't get this hedgehog joke my nephew told me then: "Two toothpicks were crossing the road when a hedgehog appeared. - Quick, said one of the toothpicks to the other - there's the bus!" LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's shouts out like that that make you hesitate for just a moment...just what would you find!? A squashed owl could be ANYTHING!
ReplyDeleteCute :o)
I want one of these as a pet.
ReplyDeletelisa
A squashed owl!!, hahaha I would say its an echidna! Not really, but I've never seen a photo of a hedgehog before.
