Today when I got home from work, my lovely bundle of Moroccan Mirage had arrived from Julie at the Intrepid Thread...
I won these gorgeous FQs from Annabella, who actually lives in Morocco, which doesn't make me jealous in the slightest, much!
If you are not familiar with North Africa, according to Annabella it is just like 1001 Peeps, and I suspect her poor mother is currently hiding in a basket, or wrapped in a magic carpet, whilst her clothes are being laundered, as the only luggage she was allowed to take to visit her daughter was fabric!
The colours are so stunning and I can't wait to have time to sit back and think of something that will show them all off to their best. Thank you ladies, these were just the cheery sight I needed after my day of database interrogation!
Tomorrow I have a tonne of errands and phonecalls to make, but hopefully I will have time for some sewing. I need to come up with a manly use for a Layer Cake!
Speaking of manly, here's a better shot of the blocks for Bee Blessed, last nights' pictures made them look a bit 'bleugh', especially the blue/green man-block; a bit of sunshine makes a lot of difference...
So for now, a Pinning session calls!
I am very jealous of you winning Annabellas giveaway, those fabrics are so gorgeous. Looking forward to see what you make
ReplyDeleteWow, gorgeous fabric! Love your blessed blocks!

ReplyDeleteOh you lucky duck getting those from Annabella! Enjoy! Bee Blessed blocks look even better in the sunshine. Jxo
ReplyDeleteCorrrr, brill fabric! (I think I might have regressed, using words like that!)
ReplyDeleteYuy fabrics, and great Bee blocks, looking forward to making this one.
ReplyDeleteMy "m" key sticks! Yummy fabrics.
ReplyDeleteTotally LUSH winnings :-) Whats with the "manly use for a layer cake"? I'm very intrigued... and your bee blocks look fab :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that fabric! Want to order some but no budget to speak of right now.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric is full of eastern promise! And well done getting your blocks done - haven't stated on those yet!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm scrummy squishy!
ReplyDeleteI'm not normally a 'pink' person, but I love that fabric! Think you may be right about Annabella's mum too, although last I read she was wearing a bikini, which may have been her solution to minimal clothing space...
ReplyDeleteMy mum in a bikini may be going viral soon! So happy you like it...it has such an amazing texture - kind of crispy (?!) Intrigued by the manly use for a layer cake - the mind boggles.
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is gorgeous. Orange--my favorite!
ReplyDeletevery gorgeous fabric indeedy :-) & luverly (as ever from you FB) Bee blocks - must go sign up now :-)
ReplyDeleteYum! What layer cake is destined for manly things?
ReplyDeleteMoroccan Mirage is gorgeous. I purchased a fq collection of the whole range from Julie (Intrepid Thread). The designs remind me of the fine carved plasterwork and ceramic tiles I saw whilst on holiday in Tunisia!
