There was some firm cooking instructions from Terri, (it wasn't her kitchen, but you would never have guessed), great food, a trip out to an amazing vintage haberdashery/fabric emporium, laughter, a bit of show-and-tell, more laughter, more eating and smiles all round...
Fun, shopping and Trudi's amazingly beautiful quilts. |
Ceri's house is an amazing warren, including her sewing room, chock to the gunnels with fabric and lovely things.
There was a teensy bit of sewing; Susan got the binding stitched down on a baby quilt for Jude to take back home for Bee Blessed, and Jo was busy cutting and basting her beautiful 3/4" Liberty hexies. I think I basted about 1/2 a dozen, and then just played with my bagful...
I gave Terri her T-bag and everyone got their dodgy keyrings.
We all left Ceri's at about 7pm, with Terri, Jude, Jo and Susan heading off to a sleepover elsewhere - I'm guessing sleep was limited!
I don't like to boast, but I am in the best Bee in the world, and I will treasure days like this forever!
