With a whopping 26" cushion pad, it has to be one of the comfiest lounging cushions ever, although it does not go with anything else in our living room!
I backed the carnival panel with some fusible fleece and did some simple straight line quilting at 3/4" intervals in aqua (5006) 50wt Aurifil. Joined the front to the back with a french seam, and there's even a 'hidden' zip!
Ballet lessons start again this week, so I think I need to get sorting another little EPP project, to wile away those happy hours x
that's FAB! it looks so lovely and squishy :-D
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful and well worth all the effort. EPP does take time but I find little and often does the trick for me - I have several quilts on the go and have to stop myself starting anymore. I expect your family will be fighting over who gets this to snuggle up to :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's turned out beautifully! Well worth the effort :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely Spring colours with a touch of summery gold. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOooh, looks fab! This is one of the patterns I have to take away with me, wonder how much I'll get done... (probably one circuit lol)
ReplyDeleteBrilliantly colourful, and seems to me like the perfect reason to have to re-decorate the living room ;-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! How much fabric did that take, can you remember?
ReplyDeleteIt looks fantastic, love the colours and quilting. I got as far as putting mine on some backing material for a wall hanging, but no further!
ReplyDeleteThe rose star is a good EPP - I've just made a Christmas one, they are quick and easy with great end results
Hadley, it is spectacular! Absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove it Hadley!
ReplyDeleteHadley its stunning! You'll just need to redesign your living room around it ;) x
ReplyDeleteLovely, happy colours! None of the cushions on my sofa "go" with the rest of the room, I just call it the eclectic look!
ReplyDeleteThis looks fab! yeah just redecorate your living room to match now and you'll be sorted :-)
ReplyDeleteit is really pretty - good job, Hadley
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric choices Hadley. Beautiful. Love the concealed zipper and back colours. Ace.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cushion. And I think a new epp to make another one in a different but complimentary pattern would be just the thing.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. I'm sorry. I missed it. Where can one get this pattern? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful!! Such cheerful fabrics!!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, and yes you need to have a new project too.
ReplyDeletesometimes when something is so pretty it doesn't matter if it matches anything! xo love it my friend!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous mix of pretty, colourful and cool all at the same time!
ReplyDeleteThat's gorgeous Hadley. Hope you can find another lovely EPP project to while away the hours at ballet.. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery very pretty Hadley! I love the quilting :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning pillow! I never new you could get cushion pads that size! =D
ReplyDeleteA beautiful big pillow. If it doesn't match anything then you could make another pillow with a different EEP pattern! Di x
ReplyDeleteYummy!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely reminder of summer to have sitting in your lounge! Gorgeous! Jxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty finish Hadley - patchwork 'goes' with everything or that's what I tell myself as I become known as the weird English sewing lady.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! I love the spring carnival pattern and have been working away on mine too. I love the colours of yours and don't think it matters if it doesn't "go" with anything else as long as it's comfy and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely Hadley and I bet its really comfy. great job on the hidden zip too! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteIt's very very gorgeous. I love everything - fabrics, design, quilting and a hidden zip too.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that it doesn't go with anything else at yours. Best send it to me right away ;0)
It's beautiful, you can tell that a LOT of work went into it. Well done
ReplyDeleteIt's fabulous! I love the touches of yellow!
ReplyDeleteNow that I am an EPP junkie I am about to start on this pattern. You have really inspired me with this one. The colors are so fresh and pretty. Very nice, Hadley
