...that the summer is over!! If I had my way, August would end in a couple of weeks time.
So it is with some disdain that I am linking with Fresh Sewing Day!
Well this was a month of 24/7 kids, family, holidays and Olympics, so my sewing output was seriously restricted.
I did make a whole quilt for Sizzix/FOQ/CottonPatch, and a hell of a lot of other blocks, so I mustn't grumble!
We have quite literally just got back from Legoland though, so I will fill you in with that and more tomorrow; but for now I need to catch up with Doctor Who, (and a million emails/blog posts); the perfect start to September x
everything is so pretty! You accomplished lots! My 18 year old son is also a Doctor Who fan. He loves that show!
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who was FAB! (as are your lovely makes!)
ReplyDeletegood return tonight for the Doctor wasn't it. Nearly lost my way writing my blog whilst watching it. Love your "Mo's" by the way. I haven't started mine yet...must crack on. Ellie Symonds to watch too.
ReplyDeleteohhh I don't like Dr Who so it was shower and catch up time for me:) how much did you get done???? Summer isn't over, just back to school is :) I must take my kids to Legoland when we're over next, bet it was fantastic wasn't it?
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty good month's worth.
ReplyDeleteOh lego land, so jealous! Look how many blocks you've sewn this month! Wowsers!
ReplyDeleteLovely mosaic but tell me more about legoland? did you enjoy it? I promised my son 3 years ago we will go there but we never had time ....
ReplyDeleteOH is watching DR Who and I'm doing much more important things like blog reading (I don't get that programme atall!). You had a much more productive month that me, but like you I can't believe Sept is here,
ReplyDeleteif this is your idea of an unproductive month heaven help us when you really get sewing!!!! :-)
ReplyDeletewow! your crappy monthly output = my year's total output LOL
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks and purses and quilts ... I'm off to watch DW now ... so squeakily excited! I love September now !!
Oh I agree...I'm not ready to go back to the routine next week and really really wish I had 2 more weeks!
ReplyDeleteWhat great makes, Hadley. Really really love the petal blocks! They are going to make a fabulous quilt.
ReplyDeleteConversely, I am totally ready for September and back to school. Then I may have half a chance to do some sewing while the baby sleeps if her sister is in school. All I have done for the past 6 weeks is referee squabbles!
Och, the Scottie!!! Totally missed that hoop, going in for a closer look....
ReplyDeleteRestricted output? C-o-m-e o-n!! Lots of very pretty blocks that I look forward to seeing again. :)
ReplyDeleteGosh I am glad it is over....I don't think I can stand much more of the children that live in our street! Such a fun mosaic, the retro flowers blocks look great! =D
ReplyDeleteNot a bad month ... all things considered!
ReplyDeleteThat was one busy summer! Jxo
ReplyDeletewith all that and you still got more finished than me.
ReplyDeleteYou had a very retro August x
ReplyDeleteThat is a very large output for August, and all of them are lovely. I especially love those tiny Liberty hexies.
ReplyDeleteLovely lovely lovely! I adore your liberty hexies too!
ReplyDeleteYou have achieved lads, and far more than me, all I seem to have done in any quantity is *bought* fabrics! Tomorrow's challenge is to pack it all into the cases - may be sone clothes being donated to goodwill!
ReplyDeleteLove what you did this month -- so many pretty things!
ReplyDeleteimpressive finishes - loving the moustaches!
ReplyDeleteLots of lovelies despite the distractions. Di x
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how you get so much done! I love that little grey spotty bag especially.
ReplyDeleteGood grief... thats restricted sewing...??? Maybe your August was longer than mine, can't believe that I am going back to work tomorrow :-(
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Brace yourself: I'm going to ask a stupid question now. Did you use a small rotary cutter to cut the retro flowers?
ReplyDeleteOooh, what a lot of flowers, you must be nearly at a quilt...
ReplyDeleteBlimey, what do you make in a productive month?!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! I love your retro flower blocks and the purses are gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing month you've had! Your retro blocks are looking just amazing. I'm still scared of the one little one I have to make and you're whipping them out!
