A Happy Mother's Day!

Hope all you Mother's celebrating today have a good one.  So far my diet looks to have been blown for at least the next 6 months with the amount of chocolate I will have to consume; but if I eat it all quickly, the calories won't touch the sides, science fact!

Thank you for all your great comments on the Keyring Giveaway; I am not going to be able to respond to them all individually, especially as I am going off to a secret location for lunch later, (chosen by the children, so I am guessing nothing with a French menu, other than fries!), and then I am hoping to be able to relax with my new found love...

I think I have almost cracked treble crochet!  Last night, I took up the hook again whilst trying to listen my way through Inglorious Basterds, (I lost the plot very quickly).  Not perfect, but I made things!

So I am a happy mummy; a coco-scented, sticky-fingered mummy, but happy nonetheless! xxx

  2. Happy Mother's day (we don't have Mother's day until May in Australia!) They're lovely granny squares! My sister tried to teach me to crochet, but I'm really terrible - I think I'll leave it to peeps like you :o)

  3. that's true - your body can't absorb that amount of fat all in one go. Eat it quick and it's like you've only eaten half of it ;-) Trust me, I'm a scientist!

Love those yarn colours - they are my absolute favourites!

  7. Love your crochet Granny squares! I am apparently getting Brunch of sausage, bacon and eggs, followed by lots of chocolate, and I've already told everyone that I'm playing with my sewing machine after that :)

  13. Happy Mother's day to you from another cocoa finger stained mother. I miss my crocheting but keep spending my money on fabric not yarn. Need a separate budget.

  16. How did it take me so long to find your blog? I love it! I have been wanting to make those and with Deb's encouragement I tried, but geez it's not easy! I never graduated from stitch a line! Happy Mother's Day...enjoy your fries. I suggest a mixture of mayo and ketchup for your sauce!

  20. I hope you have had a great Mother's Day. The granny squares are looking good...basic crochet is pretty relaxing isn't it? I haven't got into anything too technical yet. Eating chocolate fast has always been my technique when it comes to not putting on weight ;)

Just go for a nice long walk that should burn off the chocolate calories faster =D
