Hope all you Mother's celebrating today have a good one. So far my diet looks to have been blown for at least the next 6 months with the amount of chocolate I will have to consume; but if I eat it all quickly, the calories won't touch the sides, science fact!
Thank you for all your great comments on the Keyring Giveaway; I am not going to be able to respond to them all individually, especially as I am going off to a secret location for lunch later, (chosen by the children, so I am guessing nothing with a French menu, other than fries!), and then I am hoping to be able to relax with my new found love...
I think I have almost cracked treble crochet! Last night, I took up the hook again whilst trying to listen my way through Inglorious Basterds, (I lost the plot very quickly). Not perfect, but I made things!
So I am a happy mummy; a coco-scented, sticky-fingered mummy, but happy nonetheless! xxx
Oooh lovely grannies!! Must do the same myself. Happy Mothers Day twinnie, enjoy! Off to your giveaway post now which I managed to miss, doh!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's day (we don't have Mother's day until May in Australia!) They're lovely granny squares! My sister tried to teach me to crochet, but I'm really terrible - I think I'll leave it to peeps like you :o)
ReplyDeletethat's true - your body can't absorb that amount of fat all in one go. Eat it quick and it's like you've only eaten half of it ;-) Trust me, I'm a scientist!
ReplyDeleteLove those yarn colours - they are my absolute favourites!
Well done on the crochet, enjoy your gourmet lunch!
ReplyDeletePS, love the chocolate/calorie idea...
I've got granny square envy now, I really MUST give it a try!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your lunch and chocolate :)
Great theory on the chocolates! Your crochet is looking fabulous. Did your pitiful face work? Hope you are having a wonderful Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteLove your crochet Granny squares! I am apparently getting Brunch of sausage, bacon and eggs, followed by lots of chocolate, and I've already told everyone that I'm playing with my sewing machine after that :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Mothers Day x
Oh you are a hooker for sure now Hadley! Looking forward to seeing what you make!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day, enjoy your day and the chocolate too!
ReplyDeleteIt makes my heart happy to see your crochet! Lovely! And Happy Mother's Day to you.
ReplyDeleteGranny squares look great. Enjoy your special day. Jxo
ReplyDeleteHappy mother's day! I see you've cracked crochet. Well done, you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's day to you from another cocoa finger stained mother. I miss my crocheting but keep spending my money on fabric not yarn. Need a separate budget.
ReplyDeleteYay, you've cracked the granny squares! Hope lunch was fab, and not McDonalds!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day. I will be waiting to hear what "gourmet" restaurant the kids chose for your lunch.
ReplyDeleteThe colors of your granny squares are really pretty. Have fun weaving in the ends!
How did it take me so long to find your blog? I love it! I have been wanting to make those and with Deb's encouragement I tried, but geez it's not easy! I never graduated from stitch a line! Happy Mother's Day...enjoy your fries. I suggest a mixture of mayo and ketchup for your sauce!
ReplyDeleteRemember, even LESS cals if you eat standing up.
ReplyDeleteGet you and the crochet!! Happy Mothers day x
ReplyDeleteHope lunch was great, Happy Mothers day from another Happy Mother, though chocolate free, but with lovely soft hemp hands :) Taking a well earned rest after cooking dinner for my mum :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have had a great Mother's Day. The granny squares are looking good...basic crochet is pretty relaxing isn't it? I haven't got into anything too technical yet. Eating chocolate fast has always been my technique when it comes to not putting on weight ;)
ReplyDeleteCrochet is working! Well done.
ReplyDeleteWell, you know, chocolate is a source of magnesium :)
ReplyDeleteLovely squares, I like the colour combination.
Funny, you've been crocheting yours and I've been making some out of fabric.
ReplyDeleteJust go for a nice long walk that should burn off the chocolate calories faster =D
I'm holding a small swap over at my blog if anyone is interested please pop over for a look =D
