Having been woken at about 3am by one poorly twin, I thought we were going to be in for a miserable Inset day; however the power of Calpol was enough to keep everyone relatively happy.
My car got a clean, before the immanent hose-pipe ban, two loads of washing made it onto the line for the first time this year and we made the quick trip to the Post Office before eating lunch in the garden.
Poorly one has done a lot of sleeping, the others have flitted between Lego and watching Star Wars, and I even managed 40 winks in the sun!
And so my sewing has amounted to zilch, which I will rectify this evening, but only after I have booked some Airport parking and travel insurance for OUR HOLIDAY!!!
Yep, we have just booked our summer holiday and I am so excited. I now have 5 months to get myself some half-decent swimwear and a half-decent body to go in it!
And because I want to erase that gruesome thought from your minds, here's another pretty leaf...
...told you they were addictive!
You are really cranking out those leaves! Very cute! Hopefully sick twin is feeling better by now and the others don't get it. Have fun with the vacation planning!
ReplyDeleteWhere are you going - will there be any sewing, fabric buying?
ReplyDeletehope poorly twin feels better soon! love those leaves!
ReplyDeleteoooo, a holiday, how lovely - somewhere lovely and hot I hope? Today has been gorgeous hasn;t it: even for those of use either stuck in a car or in schools :-)
ReplyDeleteAh so you were the one who got the sun today! Hope little one bounces back soon. Loving those leaves. Jxo
ReplyDeleteDo you really have to book the parking this far in advance? I guess that is the big city. Sounds like a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteOooh, jealous of you and your sunny day not to mention your holidays! Hope twinnie is feeling better now.
ReplyDeletevery pretty leaf. We just bought Star Wars box set for our grandsons in SA. Hope twinny is soon better and other twinny and big bro dont get sick too.
ReplyDeleteWhere are you going? Where are you going? This is so exciting!
ReplyDeleteYour leaves are just lovely. I'm really enjoying your variations.
What are you doing with your photos? They're looking super w/o a background. Would you think of posting a tute?
Ooh, I love that last leaf, my favourite one so far! Hope your little one feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteR x
Im with Cindy on the photos - they are looking awesome, you are going all pro on us!
ReplyDeleteI love your leaves and the posh 'Very Kerry Berry' background - looks great!! Have fun with the bikini shopping!!
ReplyDeleteLove those cute little leaves! Seems like you're getting addicted to making them! Don't forget to send one my way ;D
ReplyDeleteGlad poorly twin got some probably well needed rest, and that the other two gave you a chance for some too!!
ReplyDeleteHope your little one gets better soon - we have one today too! Those leaves are fab - I'd love to know how you did it :o)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great day (well apart from the sick twinnie). Love those keyrings!
ReplyDeleteThose key rings would be a hot item if they were ever to appear for sale. They are very special and out of the ordinary!! I am curious about where you are going, too?
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute, Hads. I really like the leaves!
ReplyDeleteNothing better than sneaking 40 winks, hmm actually a summer holiday somewhere exotic is much better! Hope the poorly twin is not so poorly now.
ReplyDeleteLove your leaves.
Those leaves are so pretty and the way you photographed them is good too.
ReplyDeleteAs far as a beach bod goes, we should say before we can read any blogs or take one stitch we must exercise for 30 minutes. If you take the challenge, I will too. I only have 3 months to get ready for vacation, and 15 lbs to lose!
Lucky you! I am struggling with the summer plans and rearranging every day again. I would love to just book a flight in the sun but ....
ReplyDeleteThe leave looks great! I love the fresh color
Hope kiddies are better. A lovely day in the sun - sounds great. xx
ReplyDeletecute leaves! what a cool idea. it is great to get some washing out isn't it? Although I have no chance of that due to buckets of rain :( hope little one feels better soon x
ReplyDeletePhew, glad the Calpol came to the rescue! 40 winks in the sun though? It's persisting down here! Sounds like you're getting in plenty of practice in advance for your hols though ;o)
ReplyDeleteHow would we survive without Calpol?
ReplyDeleteLove the leaf! I want to make one!
ReplyDeleteOk I just ordered the pattern! Thx for the idea!
