I couldn't even write a list! |
I chopped most of the Reunion layer cake into 5" charms, added a few extra fabrics to bring that up to the 144 I need for the twin boy quilts...
Not going to fib, I have kept most of the bunting, and all of the text slices for myself, but that's as far as I could get my head round today!
So I turned my thoughts to smaller things, the Fat Quarterly Retreat name tag swap. Gathered a selection of bits, then faltered...
I think I need to do some stalking! Partner, what are you going to wear!?
Then spotting that this would be my 600th post, and it's St. Patrick's Day, (I'm not Irish, but a lot of people are), I figured a giveaway would be just the thing; only this is as far as I got with the prize...
Sorry! |
If you trust me enough to whip up another of Leila's scrappy leaf keyrings, well, it's only fair since I have been teasing you with them all week, then go on, just leave me a comment.
Just one comment each please; all you no-reply bloggers either sort it out or include your email address, if I can't contact you, you won't win; be a follower if you want to be, but that's just for my ego, and have faith that I will get it made.
I will leave this open for three days until 8pm GMT on Tuesday 20th March, then let Mr Random do the business. Internationalists welcome!
Hope your Saturday has had a little more direction than mine; I'll put it down to sleep-deprivation, but little one is now on the mend, so hopefully things will pick up round here soon xxx
Hehe! Who wouldn't love a little scrappy goodness and a key ring :) pleased to hear I am not the only indecive one too! I am hoping my sewing mojo returns soon!
ReplyDeleteaaagh, I hadn't even thought about what clothes to wear to London: thats a whole other thing to have to worry about!!!
ReplyDeleteMy day has been back to back rugby matches: all with the perfect results, so good day for me!
Hmm, at the retreat, I shall be mostly wearing clothes... ;o)
ReplyDeleteLove the look of the leaf :oD
I'm not talking to your commenter above though cos the rugby results were shite for me lol
Aww I would love to take that scrap with the ladybugs off your hands!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the quilts - it is going to look adorable Reunion! Your indecision sounds like my writers block :) Happy St. Paddy's Day & 600th post!
ReplyDeleteoh i would love one from you my dear friend!
ReplyDeleteI would love one of those leaves :)
ReplyDeleteI love reunion. I've got a couple of charm packs that I can't wait to make into something.
i`ll be wearing something hopefully 3 sizes smaller than I currently am! Thanks for the giveaway - I would love a little Irish luck at the mo, and no my Saturday has not been straightforward but all over the place. x
ReplyDeleteI love surprises so whatever you make will be wonderful. Would love to win!
ReplyDeleteNice little piles there ;-) As for what I'll be wearing... ?! Whatever still fits...
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better, I have had to work all day today so have gotten NO sewing done at all. I love your term "internationalists" makes me sound so important. LOL Thanks for a chance to win what I know will be a great prize.
ReplyDeleteDon't blame you for keeping the bunting and text to yourself.
ReplyDeletewould love to win your giveaway
ReplyDeleteA key ring would save me hunting in my bag - the kitchen - everywhere to find the bloody keys! xx
ReplyDeleteOh yes please! I'd love one :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd if the name tag is for me, I'll probably be wearing some sort of navy affair. Almost certainly with stripes, and boots. Or maybe birkenstocks if we have some sunny weather.
I'll wear your tag for sure if it is for me! And would probably wear clothes to match it so that should make your life easier!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway and I'm not Irish either though the Scots came from Ireland I believe!
Who would not like to have a keyring with these little gorgeous shamrocks and ladybugs? It looks like you are addicted to leaves now *gg*
ReplyDeleteInternacionalistas?OOOOba!Eu quero claro,obrigada vou fazer a festa.tiacarminhapezzuto@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteyes i would love to win one of your keyrings they look great !!
ReplyDeleteIf you're going with the black and white it should look great with any outfit! Glad she's feeling a bit better :)
ReplyDeleteFinally, a giveaway you can't win!!
ReplyDelete"I'm not Irish but a lot of people are" - you are perception personified ;-)
ReplyDeleteNot Irish and not going to the FQR, bummer, but I am an Internationalist and would love to win one of your scrappy leaf keyrings.
ReplyDeleteI would love a leafy keyring, green is a good colour for leaves by the way, Irish or not. For my name tag, if you stick with black and white, it will work with my black t-shirt and jeans, or skirt if required, wardrobe, no problem. I wonder if I should be buying a hat and planning to spruce up?
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a leaf. I won't be wearing a fig leaf at the FQR!
ReplyDeleteI would looove to win a leaf - that would make my day perfect. I'm going to wear my COMFY clothes (elastic waist) at the retreat in case I have to sit on the floor at any stage (and that might happen if they run out of chairs to sit on as there are so many of us going!!!). Thanks for teh giveaway chance!!
ReplyDeleteA chance to win some scraps! I am so in....oh there was a mention of a leaf..can't forget that =D
ReplyDeleteI so wish I wasn't on the other side of the world so I could go to th FQR :o( Love the scraps, and would love one of your lovely leaves from them!
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued when Katy says she'll only be "mostly wearing clothes" !! What will she be wearing the rest of the time one would have to wonder?!
ReplyDeleteYes please, I'd like to win. And I might have an actual fighting chance this time since you can't win it :P haha
I don't think you'll be making for me because I think that if you were it would probably be pretty obvious what to make me. Or maybe not? Maybe it's only obvious to ME haha!
My to do list and your to do list are identical! in other words, i had about as much focus as you did today. Sometimes wacky saturdays are a good thing though :)
ReplyDeleteAs someone who loves colour but wears mostly black, grey, and blue, I say go for the B & W!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course I would be delighted to win a scrappy key ring made by you :)
I'm glad the little one is on the mend - maybe precious sleep will come soon! I'd love a scrappy leaf key ring! VermontPines at aol dot com
ReplyDeleteI would just love to win a keychain! I have the pattern now, as you know, but who knows when I will use it!!
ReplyDeleteWould happily take a key ring off your hands!
ReplyDeleteCute fabrics! Congrats on 600 posts, Thank you for the chance :)
ReplyDeleteCarolyn
Those key rings are adorable. I would love to have one.
ReplyDeleteOooh! I'll take one of these keyrings off your hands! Lovely! Count me in!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win! I'm waiting for my blogging/quilting mojo to return. All I've wanted to do this past week is sleep. I blame rowdy kids, excessive pollen (we're starting to hit the so much pollen you can write your name in it phase), and the stupid day light savings time that has confused the hell out of my body. I love the stack! Can't wait to see it sewn up!
ReplyDeleteI love your scraps & your Reunion quilt looks to be shaping up nicely. Thanks for a lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI am in need for a new keyring since I lost the one that was with my keys.
ReplyDeleteMay the luck 'o the Irish be with me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win.

ReplyDeleteOh, sorry that you had to go without sleep! Hope everyone is feeling MUCH better now!
ReplyDeleteWe trust you. If we don't we'll see you in June any way. :) The badge for the swap is on my mind too but my swapee is not on the internet so I'll have to wing it for colours.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, my decision making skills vanished at the same time as my personal tropical holidays started, (and my short term memory vanished) - not looking good for the next ten years apparently ... And you are younger than me! Hope it's just a temporary blip!
ReplyDeleteI have every faith you will get it made....don't know how you do it but I know you do! By the way, did you cut all those squares with pinking shears or do they do a pinking roller cutter?
ReplyDeleteI haven't a scooby what I'll be wearing, but it may very well include some lime green or even turquoise :) would love one of your leaf keyrings - who wouldn't! (and don't tell any one, but I actually got some sewing done! Shhhh!)
ReplyDeleteI'd keep the really nice bits out of the layer cake too!! I love the idea of a leaf key ring - I do love a bit of green!! Hope the little one is fully recovered soon and you catch up on some sleep x
ReplyDeleteOoh, incredibly cute ladybugs! I'd absolutely love to call a keyring with them my own. :)
ReplyDeleteI've loved the scrappy key rings you've shown us! I'm going to have to get me some Reunion too!
ReplyDeleteSeeing as how I AM Irish and it's a Paddy's day giveaway I think you need to abandon mr random and just choose me :-) I need, yes, need, a new letting. 'Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely love to turn over a new leaf :) Thanks for the cute giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI actually managed a little handstitching today at a playbarn as I was 'not well enough' to go swimming - yay, I'll try and be ill more often! Glad your sicky is getting better :)
OK, I don't know what happened but I got a funny error trying to post a comment, eek! Hopefully this one works.
ReplyDeleteI was trying to say that the keyring looks like it'll be fab - the ladybird and shamrock fabric is very appropriate!
I managed to buy fabric on Saturday!! That is about all the sewing I did. So today I made pyjamas for three and a bag for a birthday.
ReplyDeleteNeed to do more but I am getting there. Hope your week improves.
600 posts? You are a mouthy one, aren't you? Those scraps look fun and I'm sure whoever gets the name tag you are making will love it. I think you have my address to send the key ring...
ReplyDeleteoh, sweeeet! I have been drooling over them all week, and then some! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteOooooh lovely!! Have been watching them all week and they look absolutely gorgeous!!! Am a follower and would love to enter xxx

ReplyDeleteI shall be wearing whatever I can get my fat arse into at the time ;-)x
ReplyDeleteYou got more done that me ;-)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see I'm not the only one who keeps the best bits for me! Would love one of your keyrings although would have to keep it well hidden from small girls in my house! thanks
ReplyDeleteIt would be lovely to win and I have every confidence in you to make it : ) I also enjoy reading your comments on other blogs.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win - and I am very sure you would make it (some days it feels you make more in a week than I make in a year!) Sadly won't be at the Fat Quarterly retreat :-( - if they do another one next year, maybe then!) but hope your partner gives you some clues.
ReplyDeleteThat four leaf clover fabric with the little ladybugs is so cute - it would be prefect in one of the keyrings! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how this comes out -- hope I win!
ReplyDeleteShahann at yahoo dot com.

ReplyDeleteSorry H - I can't think of anything super catchy to say, except I'm hoping I'll have some Irish luck with this!
ReplyDeleteI hope I have the luck of the irish - with a maiden name of O'Sullivan I should have!
