Woke up this morning and my throat felt like razor blades and I have developed a lovely cold to go with it. Only ever happens at the weekend eh!
But all is not lost, the postman managed to put a smile on my face, bringing fabric from Kat...
Glorious Denyse Schmidt, and a new Mollie Makes...
I have resolved my Mother's Day dilemma, thanks to Leila, and hopefully I will get a little bit of sewing in later. If I can drag my butt off the sofa.
Sniff, cough, achoo x
Love the DS fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI got my Mollie Makes too but feel too crummy to look at it :( Hope you feel better soon xx
Hope you are feeling better soon H. The DS fabrics must be making life a whole lot better. x
ReplyDeleteOh, no, I hope you feel better soon! At least you have something to read as you lounge on the couch. Or, since you're a mum, something to daydream about reading while you daydream about being allowed to be the sick one for once!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon. Those fabrics are really nice.
ReplyDeleteFeel better, dear. Try not to push too hard to get stuff done if you're under the weather. Recovery is hard enough work as it is. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Denyse Schmidt fabrics look lovely.
I sure hope you feel better soon! And I sure wish we could get some of those DS colors here in the States!
ReplyDeleteOh, Honey! Please feel better soon. Take good care of yourself. xx
ReplyDeleteLovely fabrics, Hadley, they should make you feel better. xx
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're poorly - and at the weekend as well, what a pain! I hope the DS helps you feel a bit better and the bairns are being well behaved and quiet! Get well soon x
ReplyDeleteHope you are sipping Extra Strength Lemsips right now! Those things are ace at knocking me out and letting me sleep when I feel crap with a cold. Lovely fabric from Kat too!
ReplyDeleteAh shame, I hope you are feeling better today. I take hot lemon and honey to drink and take those big disgusting fizzy Solpadeine pain killers which work really well.
ReplyDeleteLovely fabric though, that would brighten my day too
Aw poor baby! Look after that poorly throat - though I bet everyone else in the house is secretly glad!! Jxo
ReplyDeletefeel better soon friend. glad the mailman brought you something to cheer your day!
ReplyDeleteI 'found' a MollieMakes Magazine at my fabric store last month but since I would rather pay my $15 for STITCH (local contributors), I passed.
ReplyDeleteIs Mollie Makes good? as in more than two projects that you would make?
Curious.
I'm off to Sweden/Finland this summer so I am making a list of everything I need to buy, sewing-wise, from Europe that might fit in my extra duffle bag.
Hope you feel better soon.
Gorgeous fabrics and a good idea for your mum.
ReplyDeleteOooh I was all set to lather on the sympathy and care and concern til you showed off that elusive bundle... lol ;-) Ah what the hell. Get better soon lovely :-)
ReplyDeleteI hear honey, lemon juice-freshly squeezed and hot water is good for a sore throat. If your feeling really bad add a splash of brandy!
ReplyDeleteLove one of those fabrics.....=D
Aww man, boo to the ick, hope it's cleared off now!
ReplyDeleteLove your post though!
Looks like a very fun mail day! Feel better soon, dear!
ReplyDeleteHope today is better!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better today Hadley. Otherwise I recommend the secret remedy - warm milk with a spoonful of honey and a good glug of whisky. Always helps....or at least knocks you out a bit!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA I just read your thing about word verification.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if my last comment worked because I had a strange screen come up - but I LOVE your teapot & teacup a few posts back. (I'm very behind in my blog reading thanks to my stupid phone being in the repair shop...)
And you are welcome - glad you liked the fabric :)
xx
PS feel better soon!
