Typical...

Woke up this morning and my throat felt like razor blades and I have developed a lovely cold to go with it.  Only ever happens at the weekend eh!

But all is not lost, the postman managed to put a smile on my face, bringing fabric from Kat...


Glorious Denyse Schmidt, and a new Mollie Makes...
I have resolved my Mother's Day dilemma, thanks to Leila, and hopefully I will get a little bit of sewing in later.  If I can drag my butt off the sofa.

Sniff, cough, achoo x

    Oh, no, I hope you feel better soon! At least you have something to read as you lounge on the couch. Or, since you're a mum, something to daydream about reading while you daydream about being allowed to be the sick one for once!

    Feel better, dear. Try not to push too hard to get stuff done if you're under the weather. Recovery is hard enough work as it is. :-)

    Hope you are sipping Extra Strength Lemsips right now! Those things are ace at knocking me out and letting me sleep when I feel crap with a cold. Lovely fabric from Kat too!

    Ah shame, I hope you are feeling better today. I take hot lemon and honey to drink and take those big disgusting fizzy Solpadeine pain killers which work really well.
    Lovely fabric though, that would brighten my day too

    I 'found' a MollieMakes Magazine at my fabric store last month but since I would rather pay my $15 for STITCH (local contributors), I passed.
    Is Mollie Makes good? as in more than two projects that you would make?
    Curious.
    I'm off to Sweden/Finland this summer so I am making a list of everything I need to buy, sewing-wise, from Europe that might fit in my extra duffle bag.

    I hear honey, lemon juice-freshly squeezed and hot water is good for a sore throat. If your feeling really bad add a splash of brandy!

    Hope you're feeling better today Hadley. Otherwise I recommend the secret remedy - warm milk with a spoonful of honey and a good glug of whisky. Always helps....or at least knocks you out a bit!
