Baubles!

Last night I made a pair of baubles!

These will be for one of the twins' teachers, in theory one from each of them, so I now need to make another pair for their other teacher, but I think they'll do the trick.

And because I am just so greedy, I ended up with a brooch for myself, as I was rather loathed to pass on something that I really liked to someone who would just put it on the pile with all the other nik-naks from their class, ready, most likely, for 're-gifting'!

So here are my felty-makes so far...

I had a eureka moment earlier and have a plan for later involving some eyelets purchased for a long-forgotten venture.

Now where did I put that hammer?!

  1. Oooh they are lovely! Love felt, its so great to work with. Must take out some I have stashed away and get stitching with it. Nice work twinnie :-) But mind that hammer!

  4. Looking good. Maybe I can give some of my leftover zippy purses to the teachers for my lot.

  5. Well if the teachers are stupid enough to regift these cuties I am sure the recipient will enjoy them!

    I'd be keeping them all!

  9. Oh! Love the little grey brooch! This teacher wouldn't be re-gifting it, that's for sure!

  10. Love the decorations! I used to regift chocolates and bottles of wine but always kept anything handmade and all Christmas decorations - the hearts would definitely be on my tree if I taught your twins!

  15. These are lovely, the teachers will be delighted. I like the felt colours too. I am making felt decorations for the fundraiser our church is holding for our missionaries. I just got boring old red, green and white and now I am disappointed!

  18. These are really cute! Especially like the brooch! I think teachers like something a bit different. There are only so many bottles of cheap plonk, chocolates and poinsettias that one person can handle. I've seen teaching friends proudly wearing and displaying hand made jewellery and other bits and bobs given to them by students.
