Trudi was first across the line, and now I have mine and hers together, I am seeing the total awesomeness that this quilt is going to 'bee'! Thank you again Trudi x
Unfortunately today was also the worst weather we have had in a while, so photos were not on the cards, by the time we got home from school at 3.30pm we needed the lights on and a complete change out of soggy clothes - maybe tomorrow you will get luckier and I will show you my gorgeous pair!
My other amazing mail was my long awaited copy of 'Modern Blocks: 99 Quilt Blocks from Your Favorite Designers'.
Thank you Amazon - I borrowed your picture x |
If you are making a Christmas list, the aforementioned Mrs G has added to her Christmas Gifts for Quilters, and you could also win a bundle of amazing Klona solids from Alice at Backstitch if you feel inclined to try.
So as not to leave you picture-less, here is dear son last night being invested into Beavers...
Now all Mummy has to do is work out where all the badges need to be sewn!
:) It was soooooo fun to piece that little monster block! Sorry it's been a dull soggy day, it's heading this way tonight :( I need to make a big hint to Santa for the book :)
ReplyDeleteyour son is adorable! i bet he loves scouts!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your blocks and your son is so cute.
ReplyDeletePlease give us a review of the book - I'd definitely be interested in getting it. Jxo
ReplyDeleteDont do a review yet, mine hasnt arrived yet, I dont want spoilers ;-) Its been a dark day here too, but its november so that's pretty normal up here... sucks dunnit?! Wee man looks superb in his uniform, he's going to have a great time I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteI was gonna write "look at your wee beaver!" and decided it was just asking for sniggers. *g* If you need a map of his badges let me know! He's a wee cutie, inne?
ReplyDeleteOkay, just read Lynz's comment and had a complete laugh out loud moment. Which has probably freaked the flatmate and his new girlfriend out... :oD
ReplyDeleteAnywho, Amazon told me my copy is on its way, but alas, the postie still has it :o(
I sooooo want that book! It's on my list! Well every list!
ReplyDeleteBeavers and books, great start to my day..lol
ReplyDeleteLet us know what you think of the book.
On a similar note to Lynz's comment, we have a bus company in Leicester called "the beaver bus". Its slogan, written really big on the side of each bus... "Ride the Beaver".
ReplyDeleteI so want that book but I just can`t pay international shipping on it so I`ll pick it up in December. 99 blocks seems pretty good value and you`re sure to make some beautiful blocks and make me green with envy. Review please - just put a spoiler alert at the top of your post. Anyhow, I think we`ve seen a lot of blocks across blogland over the last couple of weeks. Son adorable. Love the name.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to working on your monster block! 3.30pm darkness is common for me too :( A round of Hot chocolate cheers things up a bit though :) Your little Beaver is very cute - my daughter had her first Rainbows meeting last night
ReplyDeleteSome of these comments are killing me. You can't have a bus slogan like that Guffaw! Your son looks very cute. Although maybe he'd prefer I said he looks very grown up? ;-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful comments about beavers - I'm chuckling away! He looks very handsome in his uniform! I'd love a review of the book but I don't mind waiting until Sarah has her copy *g*
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness please review the book! REVIEW THE BOOK! I can't wait to hear what you think of it...am over looking it up at Amazon as I type this comment (yes, double tasking is my friend).
ReplyDeleteLJ and Lynz are just killing me here! HA!
