I was all set for some exciting post or other, but time has flown by this evening, and now I am watching The Great British Sewing Bee... they are sewing on old Singers, I am too distracted!

Cheese! |
And there's a Sussex Sewing Museum! Who knew? I need to google that!
xxx
lol, ditto :)
ReplyDeleteWatching now. Had to pause it for parenting duty earlier.
ReplyDeleteI have to see how I can get this. I loved the last season.
ReplyDeleteExactly. Who knew? Not me, not you! Gawds sake!
ReplyDeleteBet you never thought you'd be excited to got a local museum before ;o) I'm just finishing watching it now...
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I can find it to watch on the internet. I was watching Dr. Who last night as I was binding, does that count.
ReplyDeleteI managed to get episode 2 before the BBC police got it off Youtube. Haven't managed to see any other episodes of this season.
ReplyDeleteAnd I 'liked' the Great British Sewing Bee Facebook page which I'm gonna have to "Unlike" because they have no restraint about telling those of us in the US of A who won and who got voted off - spoiling the surprise. Grumble....
Jealous of your TV watching, we need to get this show in the states!
ReplyDeleteJust stopped by to say hi.
ReplyDeleteTime to plan a weekend away to Sussex I think! Weren't those coats amazing?
ReplyDeleteHow many of can camp at yours for a museum day trip?
ReplyDeleteIt was a really good episode last night wasn't it.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of that either- any sewing museum for that matter! I'm catching up tonight so no spoilers! (my toes are crossed that David is still in though, he's my favourite. I feel I may be disappointed this week as he's hung on a lot longer than I anticipated)
ReplyDeleteOh...forgot about that must get it on catchup!
ReplyDeleteI'm watching right now! Glass of white wine and classic machines. Bliss!
ReplyDeleteI have one of the ancient 201Ks in the attic - so cool to see it on there and learn a bit about it :)
Haha I think you're gonna get a lot of people ending up here after watching GBSB and googling "Sussex Sewing Museum". I did a bit of digging and they're talking about this http://www.sewalot.com/index.htm - he has a massive collection of antique Singers, but it doesn't look like you can actually VISIT (well, maybe if you ask him nicely?). He seems to be in Eastbourne.
ReplyDeletewasn't it good? Six hours to make a coat! Two weeks for me to even contemplate it! The old machines were just brilliant.
