I worked today, but managed to get a couple more blocks made before school let loose the demon hoards!
This time I dug through my bright and scrappies for Helen's turn in Stitch Tease. These are economy blocks plus!
I think they fit the bill. Helen didn't want fussy cuts for the centres, however I couldn't resist putting a couple of teeny ones in there! They measure up at 14.5" unfinished, and are destined for one bright and happy quilt.
They're lovely! Hope you've managed to swap your day off rather than having to forgo it?
ReplyDeleteI totally have to redo one of mine, the most hideous rainbow I have ever created!
ReplyDeleteDon't think I've seen double economy blocks before but these are great. Really effective.
ReplyDeleteYou teachers pet, should have known you'd be all over these! But they look great, well done :o)
ReplyDeleteWhoppers! And pretty too!
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a lovely quilt.
Great blocks. Love your colour choices.
ReplyDeleteThese bigger versions look great! Hoping to post the b/w stripey binding to you Friday! Jxo
ReplyDeleteVery very happy! *adds double economy to 'to do' list*
ReplyDeleteHow did you get yours to measure 13.5". Mine ended up 16" and 15-1/2"
ReplyDeleteJust seen Diane's comment - yikes, what's with the measurements? Lovely blocks mais bien sur :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea to supersize the economy blocks. Loving the title of your post too, v clever :-))
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I still need to do mine. I think I'll sneak in a little fussy cut too!
ReplyDeleteLove 'em Hadley!
ReplyDeleteGreat boost!
