I've finally realised that I actually really don't like Mondays; yes there was a beautiful rainbow just as I arrived at work today and shopping delivered to the door, but also grazed knees and tears before school and moody kids afterwards.
I haven't even mustered the energy to sew on the Cub badge that has risen to the top of my To Do list. It has been sat on the side for about 5 weeks so I'll have to do it before tomorrow's meeting... probably!
It's not all doom and gloom; more lazy-itis; I guess some evenings are just best spent with a cup of tea and Sports Relief Bake Off on TV. (Not going to be a patch on last night's Sherlock, but it'll do!).
Hope your week has started with more of a bang than a fizzle; and as if I would leave you without a picture, here's some recent Touchdraw play...
The reality of the Y-seams is not something to consider when not feeling 100% optimistic though! So maybe not today then xxx
That would be mighty pretty! You could always give the Y-seams a miss :)
ReplyDeleteLove that design! xx
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful design but I hear you about the Monday lazy-itis, blah feeling. Don't you just hate when it's got you in its grip? I hope Tuesdays are much more to your liking :)
ReplyDeleteFab design. There would be no Y seams if you treated the longer/larger pieces as oblongs, then affixed a square to the appropriate end, diagonally sewed across the end, cut off excess and there you go. Simples :-)
ReplyDeleteOoh, that does look exciting :-) am sure it will be gorgeous when you muster the creative energy!
ReplyDeleteEPP! No Y-seams then Mrs. It looks like a fab quilt/block :o)
ReplyDeleteWell that's Monday over! It can only get better from here! You could always cheat with the Y seams and do hsts! Jxo
ReplyDeleteYeah, not a Monday fan here either! Pretty picture though
ReplyDeleteI love Mondays...but then again I'm often told that I'm just not normal...Love the pic, it's perfectly you and I'll leave those Y seams to you also.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that drawing! If you master Y seams please do a tutorial :) It is on my list of going to learn in 2014... maybe LOL
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to try TouchDraw. Not sure about trying the Y seams, however...
ReplyDeleteoh those would be manageable y-seams. Totally worth it!
ReplyDeleteI am with you on Monday mornings - it is the morning of my language lesson and I always dread it, having never done enough homework!!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading this on Tuesday so hopefully it will be a better day for you. Di x
ReplyDeleteBletchly Circle is good for cheering up an otherwise dull and unconvincing Monday
ReplyDeleteBut even playing like that will return your happiness! Give them a box of plasters and keep messing with Touchdraw!
ReplyDeleteI never liked sewing badges on! I must say that Monday is my favourite day of the week as it is a 'getting organised' day for me. I find it sets me up for the week. I am also aware that most people don't feel that way though.
ReplyDeleteHSTs as a Y Seam alternative?
ReplyDeleteMonday's are really rather rubbish. I'm always tired after work on Mondays. Like your picture. We'll just look at how pretty it is and not think about Y seams and stuff :-)
ReplyDeleteMondays and grumpy children are definitely the worst. Loving your picture, apart from the y-seams!
ReplyDeleteLove the touch draw doodling, you need to make it (maybe on the weekend, rather than a Monday though). The past fortnight has been so busy for me that I've scarcely noticed Monday has happened until we're at about Wednesday - you can do that when you're self employed though ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the touchdraw artistry. Wish I had gone to Lynne's class at the retreat!
ReplyDeleteA bit late now it's Wednesday but I don't like Monday's either!! Such a contrast to the laziness of a Sunday!! Loving the touchdraw design but I don't like the sound of Y seams either ;-)
