Changeable...

The weather and my mood have swung from good to bad and back again today, and quite frankly I will be glad to start again tomorrow.

Legoland plans have been abandoned for this weekend; long car journeys, irritable kids, queues and rain are possibly my least favourite things, so no thank you!

Instead, the girls and I went to the leisure centre 'fun day', where, to be honest, all the fun to be had was watching the lady trying get the candyfloss to stay on the sticks!  We collected some goodie bags and were home in 30 minutes.

Pah!

And I had a misadventure in piping.  I finished my Spring Carnival cushion, I added piping as I thought it would be a brilliant finishing touch, having seen Svetlana's beauty last night.

Wrong.

I have just unpicked the whole cushion and piping and zip, and I am not happy.  I will be back tomorrow.  I will be smiling again... I hope!

  3. Sometimes days are just a pile of plop! I have a love/hate relationship with piping myself. Tomorrow will be grand, you'll see. You crabby mare. *g*

  6. Yup, a day that would have been better in bed with a movie. I seem to have had a one too.

  7. Today there must have been a solar flare. I had similar problems with a bag I thought would be an easy finish. Nope. Gonna have to hand sew the bias tape on the lining....on both sides. blarg.

  10. Bah! You need a spaniel - spaniel cuddles always make days like that feel better, and there's the added advantage that they keep the kids entertained..... :-)

  11. Oh dear...we did Legoland in August and we have said "Never again!" we did it once before with all the Grandchildren (before G was born) it was more fun because it was in June and the children were all younger and hadn't developed grumps.
Shame about the piping, I hate unpicking. I am sure the cushion looks wonderful though :)

  16. Oh that all sounds super-annoying. I'm having one of those mornings and wishing we all still on summer hols and not searching for lunch boxes last seen in July.
