...nah! I wouldn't do that to you, but I have spent the earlier part of the evening playing with my Cherry Cxxxxxxxs charms and cutting some yardage into more.
But what I was going to say was, it's beginning to look like my vision is coming to fruition!
My first Stitch Tease blocks have arrived from Di (Quiltova). I love them, and here's what they look like with mine...
So happy!
Not happy however about the next door neighbour's builders who are here for the next 3 months or so.
Today they started breaking up the old conservatory's concrete floor, very slowly, and very loudly and very when the sun came out for the 30 minutes between work and the school run and when I very much wanted to have a sit outside. Oh baubles!
I can commiserate with the noise pollution problem...have you tried an ipod (or walkman if you are old school)?
ReplyDeleteGo sew their tools together. Your bee quilts are always stunning so I never thought this one would be anything less than perfect.
ReplyDeleteDroooling - gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's called karma, that's what happens when you are the recipient of lovely bee quilts, you have to suffer the balance in life ;-) hahaha! #pooview #ratheryouthanme
ReplyDeleteI think I suddenly get this type of scrap quilt. I'm sitting here remembering all the quilts these fabrics went in to, or where I got them from!!
ReplyDeleteYou always have great vision with your bee quilts. This one will be another stonker
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a fabulous quilt.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the neighbors...I've been on the other end of that scenario. We had contractors here for months. Our neighbors were not happy, but we ended up with a nice kitchen
I'm going to the PO tomorrow when I head out to pick up this week's sick line :o/ Looking great so far, but I'm liking Emily's karmic theory ;o)
ReplyDeleteYour bee quilt is going to be low volumelicious. Hmmm I shouldn't be making comments when I've been out for the night. As for builders...bad enough when they're your own, nightmare when they're other peoples as you don't get the benefit. Then again you don't get the bill either!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Not builders next door! Bummer! Jxo
ReplyDeleteHeadphones are useful in these times, also earplugs. Your quilt is going to be fantastic.
ReplyDeletePoo to the builders, but yum to the quilt vision, it's going to be amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteOoooh these are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI've got the builders in at the moment but I'm thrilled as now I will have a roof. The scrap vomit is inspired!
ReplyDeleteThose blocks work perfectly, you'd never know they were made by someone else, but that's the whole point of having a brief though eh?
ReplyDeleteLove love love! Such cute fabrics in there. I am beginning to think about the C word too, which actually isn't that inappropriate given that it's like winter outside at the moment!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, just beautiful!! Oh to have that many modern scraps!! Will just have to keep buying charm packs I suppose?? LOL
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain, our neighbours on both sides have scaffolding up. Not to mention the 2 houses with recent additions of children. Squealing children. Really high pitched squealing children!! It's like a dog whistle but humans can hear it!! And they are ALWAYS outside. Urrggghhhh!!!
I'm loving those blocks! I may have to steal that idea for when I am queen in another bee :-D
ReplyDeleteI feel for you :( but the blocks are looking great!
ReplyDeleteooooh, this quilt will be amazing. What a fantastic idea you had to go low volume, I might have to copy you one of these days :)
ReplyDeleteNice blocks and bloody builders!
