Well my random post is no where near as random as the comments you left on last night's post!!
So firstly, to set the record straight - no I am not pregnant! I bought some leather to use on the secret-for-me project, it sat in the sweltering conservatory for a day or two, and when it came to stitch it, the real leather smell, nothing more, was just a little overwhelming, and is making me wonder if I want that whiff following me around forever and a day! So you can take your knitted booties elsewhere; you are all barking mad!
Moving on...
With the end of term coming round quickly, we have the pleasure of all sorts of school activities; my favourite part of last week's Summer Fair was the owls!
Today we were invited to the Year 3 - Healthy Me video show with flapjacks and smoothies as bribery! Dear son ended up in charge of smoothie pouring, he did a fine job...
The girls had their penultimate after-school swimming lesson...
... and the temptation finally got the better of one of the teaching assistants and I, and we sat on the edge for a rule-breaking leg dangle!
And finally, inspired by Andy Murray, we have the Swingball out in the garden; the big plastic paddle rackets made a nice home for this little chap...
... who the girls thought would be great to let loose in the kitchen! Um... no x

Hahaha! About the frog that is,
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you can mail frogs. . . .
ReplyDeleteI am sort of disappointed you don't want knitted booties! The owl looks a hoot! And froggy is feeling a bit uncomfortable in the kitchen - must be the whiff of garlic and that recipe for frogs legs that you have open on the counter!
ReplyDeleteFrogs and owls in one post... Very Harry Potter!
ReplyDeleteEek! We went camping a couple of years ago and a frog took up residence in a hole underneath our tent. I nearly died of fright when we packed up. I an Not Brave with small jumping animals.
ReplyDeleteoh that owl is stunning. I think you should do a palette grab of that pic and use it for your next quilt ;)
ReplyDeleteOK, I'll stop knitting!
ReplyDeleteMissed the announcement of the happy event yesterday, so no need to stop knitting yet for me.. just gimme a bit more notice next time lol. We'll all be watching you now when you are a bit dizzy from the heat :-)
ReplyDeletedamn, and there I was sewing the binding down on the hand-quilted baby quilt that I knocked up for you overnight. Oh well...
ReplyDeleteActually now you mention it I hate the smell of leather in the heat. As I'm prone to travel sickness sitting in the back of a car with hot leather smell is enough to make me feel really unwell.
ReplyDeleteThat owl has HUGE eyes! The swimming-pool leg-dangle sounds perfect just about now :)
ReplyDeleteHaha that's funny...never even crossed my mind that you may be pregnant! Sweet photos of your lovely children and I know a couple of girls who would think a frog was good fun :) have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteNot triplets then? I'll stop crocheting bonnets. Lovely randoms once again - I need to take more notice of things and then I might have some randoms of my own...
ReplyDeleteWow, that owl doesn't look real! Crazy not real! LOL
ReplyDeleteI discovered a toad in my garden today too-nearly gave me a heart attack!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on the smell thing as my needles were starting to clack! Lovely images and the last swimming lesson looks idyllic! BTW, how old were your twins when they learned to swim...I'm wondering about Z?
ReplyDeleteha ha, how people get the wrong idea! (friends of ours had twins followed by twins, luckily the current batch looks to be a single, i can't imagine the work with little twins!)
ReplyDeleteI don't know, maybe you will be inspired by Sarah, and want the booties after all??
ReplyDeleteSo how long to catch the frog?
ReplyDeleteLol - great post... I needed that afternoon giggle :-)
ReplyDeleteInterestingly our swing ball has been unearthed since Wimbledon too :-)
