Random odds and sods...

We've seen a little bit of sunshine over the last couple of days, and given the rain and snow-filled month we have had, that's probably the most random and unexpected end to January I could have imagined!

Yesterday had a nice quota of random worth documenting though...

A lovely parcel from Susan of my Brit Bee block, complete with one of her lovely Moo postcards and stickers... I couldn't put it better myself!

I also had the urge to buy more than a rational (?) quota of trashy magazines and curl up with a cuppa - I haven't done that in ages, and am glad I have it out of my system so quickly!

And then if you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen the last picture... how could one 6 year old do this to the other, whilst the 'canvas' apparently didn't want her to?  There was also matching leg art, which they both sported, but I didn't get a photo of those, because I was laughing and scrubbing too hard.

Linking these bits and bobs with Cindy et al xxx

  3. Loving the body art. My little boy came home from beavers with pen all over his face. When asked he said his friend told him to do it and he willingly did. I also did some laughing whilst scrubbing!! Kids! Sarah

  4. How funny, we had a friend visit this evening from far off parts and one of the gifts he gave the children was bath crayons, they couldn't get in fast enough and ended up looking not too dissimilar to that photo!

  7. Interesting back art, body colouring with markers seems to be a world wide craze until some kid gets blood poisoning at school and then they all stop for a few years. At least that is the trend here. I love the mail too. And I just read the magazines at the grocery checkout, you did well to actually sit and relax with them.

  8. Better the back than the walls. Or could this be a tattooist in the making!

  10. I hope that 'tattoo' came off more easily than a regular one! What is the pretty quilt 'thingy' in the first photo?

  11. The tatoo reminds me of the time I took my Mum's one red avon lipstick and decided to draw all over my sleeping brothers face with it. I don't know how I didn't wake him. But when he did awake to go out with his mates (He's a lot older than me) He found that red lipstick doesn't come off completely and left a stain of red everywhere I'd drawn. Mum wasn't best pleased when she came home and found her lipstick wrecked either ;-)

  12. At least they're only six, my daughter and her best friend drew on each other's arms, legs, tummies and faces until they were about 13. Still good job she wont read this comment as she is (as said to me last week) "mortified at how immature" she was and wanted to "die" when she remembered it. She is now 17 and it was hard not to inform her that she had a lot more of those moments to go through yet haha!

  13. LOVELY randomness. So you have a budding tattoo artist living at your house? Awesome.
