Extra extra...

Sorry to all the non-Miranda watchers out there if I caused confusion with my turn of phrase recently; so here is a rather long You Tube clip, which will give you a pretty good idea of what I have been on about...


... Such fun!

And so, on to what I have actually been doing, (and resisting the urge to say,"what I like to call, sewing"), a couple of little extras to go with my Pretty (Big) Little Pouch...

I had forgotten how stressful it is when you get to this stage - I am finding it really hard to ignore the pressure of the Extras game, but I hope my partner will not be disappointed with what she receives.

I finished the actual pouch earlier too, but it was dark by the time I had stitched the turning gap closed, so I will take photos of the whole package tomorrow.

As it is, the house is tidy, we all have clean bedding, the fridge has been stocked and all is looking promising for a day of more stitching and a little relaxing tomorrow.  The last remaining item on my January To Do list is the Lucky Stars BOM.  Hopefully I will be able to come to a final decision on what fabrics I want to use, because I have changed my mind about 50 times already!

    Miranda is one of my favourite shows, she is absolutely hilarious and reminds me of a girl who was in my class many moons ago at an all girls school.

    Ok I totally have to watch it, she is wonderful, thank you. The sewing is good too, I find the extras in swaps are really a problem, hard to know what to add to be in the zone without being too much or too little. I like swaps with rules on that.

    I still hope I'm your partner, and even more now as those are lovely extras, I hadn't even thought about extras yet, was too busy trying to get the feather idea into reality! Good luck with the BOM fabric choices. : )

    I will now admit to having being compared to Miranda by two different sets of people. I am assured it is not my physical shape but the way I talk. Hmm. I shall go to bed reassured that you all have clean bedding ;-) Of course your partner will be thrilled, how could she not be??

    Really lovely pincushion and needlecase, you have a lucky swap partner. I love Miranda too, my son has been off school ill this week and we have watched the whole series so far together on catch up.

    Those extras are always a challenge to judge, aren't they? I once got a whole bundle of precious scraps including Heather Ross and the like, and it was about my second swap, so I was totally panicking about what I'd included! Still, I love the wee pincushion and needle book

    Dang it - another BBC show we cannot watch in the USA.
    I can usually find them on HuluTV but not this time....

    Who would be disappointed with those extras? They're wonderful!
    I too can't work out what fabrics I want to use for the BOM. I'm ignoring my little emailed patterns until something strikes me....
