Here we go again...

Happy New Year Everyone!

Day One has been good; sunshine, family, meals out and sewing.  I have been posting the sewing on instagram, the #scrappytripalong has me well and truly hooked, 6 blocks made already.  More on that here, later in the week, I promise.

I have also sewn up my block as Miss January in Brit Bee, which I will show you tomorrow when I get some decent photos, after I've popped 11 parcels in the post for the wonderful BB ladies to replicate.

I would normally be linking with Lynne's Fresh Sewing Day on the first of the month, but I pretty much summed up my year yesterday, so I will spare you the repetition.

Instead, I will leave you with a picture of 'the end of Christmas'...

...the chap at the garden centre is wrapping up the Christmas display polar bears in bubble wrap, to go into hibernation until the end of the year!  We distracted the children whilst he did the same with Father Christmas.

Hope you are off to a good start too xxx

  4. I've been a bit absent from the blogging world so I'm catching up! It amazes me....what you've accomplished while working and caring for your family! All beautiful. I look forward to seeing your inspirations this coming year. I'm new to Instagram but I'm going to see if I can find you. I'm intrigued by the scrappy trip along!

  5. I do believe that you are making my favorite scrappy trip. And I'm so glad you are more active on IG lately as it seems to be about the only thing I can keep up with at the moment!

  6. Love the yearly pic roundup. You sound so busy - where do you find the time?
This evening was the only time I have spent alone for months - finished some knitting, listened to the radio and drank half a bottle of wine - couldn't be bothered to sew after that. I shall just have to get by admiring your stamina and lovely projects. You scare me!

  7. I'm scrappy tripping along too! It is very addictive! Poor polar bears! I'm sad thinking of them wrapped up like that too!

  10. After all the expectation and excitement I am embracing normality, although my house is full of teenagers. Once I'm sewing again I will know that the rhythm of life has returned. Di x

  11. I hope to dismantle Christmas here today - but have to get a whole heap of fabric off the floor first as we can't have the elves treading on it when I put them to work sorting all the ornaments.
