Getting prepared...

This was the scene about an hour ago, before I finished my lovely new AMH infinity scarf...

I ordered the 'kit' from Pink Castle, and the minute I got home to find the parcel today I was determined to have it finished by the weekend.  I want to be ready for the Arctic blasts that will be heading our way next week, apparently.

I love this combo so much, I even followed the AMH tutorial to the letter and hand finished the closure; I am so glad I did.

I am wearing it right now (with my pyjamas!) and prepared for whatever sleet and snow wishes to land on my doorstep!

And should the worst best happen, I have all the supplies I need to finish my #scrappytripalong and I've also made sure there are also some tins of soup and part-baked bread in the cupboard just to keep everyone-else happy... bring it on!

  1. You sound a though you are very prepared for the worst of the weather. As much as I live the snow, I really don't want it to happen!

I'm in denial about the big chill, and I'm impressed with your organisation :)

  4. Archie's hoping for snow, I'm just hoping for 'not sleet' and 'not three weeks of ice'! I might have to get up early (for me) tomorrow to see if there's snow...and how much! (If there isn't much I might have to take A out in it before it disappears!)

Gorgeous scarf, bet it looks great with 'jamas!

  6. Noooo - I have resisted the post christmas fabric shopping. Really tempted by the Cherry and Vivacious kit. (And if I had one like you, I would be wearing it with my jammies as well). Also really really hoping it doesn't snow.

  16. More soup and bread fans? Ideal comfort food! Lisa stayed and helped strip wallpaper in the kitchen and then helped me play speed dating quilt blocks to lay out a top. Happy mummy

  22. Stay safe and warm in the storm. I might have to try one of those scarves for our Australian winter. We don't get snow or your freezing temps where I live, but it's still pretty darn cold!
