Looking for inspiration... 50s style

I have a number of 1950's design and pattern books which I dip into from time to time.

During the Olympics I was looking through them thinking about potential embroidery patterns.

What do you reckon?

  10. #2 are handweaving "heddles" you string your yarn/thread through the centers. Haven't woven in years but knew exactly what they were!
