...sweet little buttercup.
I needed a quick and easy bag, just a small one, enough for keys, wallet and camera, so I headed to bag-guru Sara - Sew Sweetness, and on her super tutorial list I spotted the Buttercup bag by Made By Rae...
So simple...
I swapped the traditional magnetic snaps for sew in ones, as that was all I could find in my whirlwind session, added woven interfacing to the lining and sewed the slightly lengthened handle inside rather than adding it to the outside, as suggested by Sara.
An hour later, job done xxx
An hour, you are the quick one. It is a lovely bag!
ReplyDeleteAwesome for an hours work!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great bag - love the orange lining!
ReplyDeleteI made one of those a while back - it's such a great pattern and I love that you can make it from a FQ!
ReplyDeletePretty wee bag, and WTG getting all that done in an hour. Of course I always find a million and one things to do to my bags which might explain the length of time it takes me lol
ReplyDeleteFab! I've made a few of these and it really is the perfect little bag.

ReplyDeleteTrying to make something similar is quite daunting to me.
This is a great pattern for a bag in a hurry. I made a stack of these for Christmas presents. Of course it would help if I could remember who I gave the bags too because I can't remember and don't want to give the same people bags this year....oppps
ReplyDeleteOne hour! Superwoman!!
