They seem to have come up smaller than shown on Leila's tutorial, the sides are definitely 1/2", so I am not sure what I did there, but I have a cunning plan.
I also received some waxed cotton today, ordered the minute we got home...
Twin Two, having lost her precious friendship bracelet on the journey home from Menorca, is in serious need of a replacement; so good old mummy needs to quickly re-acquaint herself with her 'time spent working in the South of France skills' pronto!
That's my Bank Holiday sorted!
Friendship bracelets seem to go in phases here. We are in a phase right now but they can now make their own. Beats how many times I have sat on the floor with the thread ends masking taped to the coffee table knotting those coloured threads together, again and again!
ReplyDeleteI haven't made friendship bracelets in years...have fun!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Gorgeous hexies!
Hexies look great. I too haven't made a friendship bracelet in years so not sure I could remember. I know my niece made me learn how to make scoobies when she was at infant school and I can't remember how to do that either now lol
ReplyDeleteBlimey, not sure I could remember how to do that to be honest!
ReplyDeleteThe tiny hexies look so cute. Have fun with the friendship bracelets.
ReplyDeleteThe hexies are cute, the sides will always be the same size as the template so if you cut a 1/2 inch side template then the hexies will that size too. I love hexies and have finally finished a craft bag for myself made out of them having done 2 already for friends.
ReplyDeleteGo mummy, one would hate to think twin two had no friends!
ReplyDeleteLovely teeny hexies.
ReplyDeleteI would hate to think what else you did 'while working in France'! Jxo
ReplyDeleteSuch cute looking hexies! Never seen waxed cotton, the colours look so cool. =D
ReplyDeleteLove the tiny hexies! So many memories making friendship bracelets taping the string to wherever was handy at the time.
ReplyDeleteCant wait to see those hexies joined together!
ReplyDeleteThat waxed cotton looks sooo good - where is it from? I have no idea how to make friendship bracelets, so I would love to see yours when its finished.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell I am reading these posts out of order. I know how this one turns out...a finished bracelet and a purse in the making.
