So the strips I showed you the other evening, are now fully functioning key fobs...
Then I made a couple more...
So they get a tick on my whopping To Do List.
Then we have a bigger little make. Now it isn't a case of 'should have gone to Specsavers', oh I do, and I have lots of their not-so-lovely glasses cases but I really thought it was time to banish the black velour.
So I chopped up an old case and retrieved the flexi metal to make my own.
Hmm... we are not talking about a lovely flexi clasp, oh no, 2 cheap pieces of what look to be old metal tape measure, so life was not so rosy.
I persevered and although I am not 100% happy, the flexi is a little too snug, and twists the case a little, but it does the job, and uses 2 of my favourite fabric lines, so it makes me happier.
Back tomorrow with my SMS winner!!
It was worth the wait - how cool are those key fobs!!x
ReplyDeleteGreat makes! A British heat wave .. Is that an oxymoron if I ever heard one!!!? LOL!!
ReplyDeleteLoving the key fobs. Di x
ReplyDeleteNice speccase :-) x
ReplyDeleteHello gorgeous key fobs!!!
ReplyDeleteCheck you out catching up on your massive 'to do' list while some of us are hit by work and teenagers!
ReplyDeleteLovely key fobs, typical Brits, I'm sure only last week we were complaining it was too wet, now it's too hot!
ReplyDeletecute cute cute!
ReplyDeleteThe case might not have worked out as you'd planned, but it's really lovely! Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteGood to see some brown in there! Jxo
ReplyDeleteFab fobs! Where do you get your hardware? And the case for your sunglasses is super cute, too. Stylish lady!
ReplyDeleteI love your eyeglass case! One day I want to get corrective surgery just so I can wear real sunglasses! :)
ReplyDeleteCute key fobs and glasses case...if you think it's hot there, I was just in Arizona where it was 108"F at 5 pm!
ReplyDeleteOf course! Of course the little happy, colorful strips are key fobs! Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteWe're melting over here too...but it's spectacular.
You are a one person factory! Making beautiful stuff of course, but slow down or you will have no energy when you meet us.
ReplyDeleteThis is sure going to be a super Retreat with all these wonderful makes sloshing about. I think I shall just have to have a special weekend away with Mr Whizz Kid just so I don't have a fit of real jealousy thinking about all those wonderful swaps and gifts (mostly made by The Hadley Factory') and all the wonderful people I will not meet. I intend to get real well, make lots of goodies and join you all next year!
ReplyDeleteHot? Surely not. Nice stuff you're making!
ReplyDeleteFor a moment there I thought you were stripping, phew!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely better than specsavers though...
I am going to be a pain in the behind and also ask where you go the key fob hardware! Etsy? I have bits made up ready and waiting but haven't been able to find the hardware cheap enough for me to finish them off!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed at your blogging prowess. Nearly every day!
ReplyDeleteI've had to work too many hours this week so I am catching up all in one go. I love that echino fabric on the key bobs.
I got the hardware where you recommended but they are languishing in a drawer until I can get my sewing act together.
great makes! No wonder you have been so busy
ReplyDeleteGorgeous specs case...I really need one as my sunglasses have been living in a Boots bag for the past two years and it's starting to get embarrassing!! Love the key fobs!
ReplyDeleteCute key fobs. I have a pattern that uses old metal tape measures but I haven't tried it yet. Your eyeglass case is cool!
ReplyDeleteOooo, this reminds me of my love for those typewriters! x
ReplyDeleteLove everything! Your fobs are so cute. I bought a massive bag full of hardware the other day including flexi clasps so I can make loads up for my new etsy shop (so excited!) Your fabric choices are brill x
